April 9, 201213 yr I should explain I'm flying slightly by the seat of my pants on this one- as I have little idea what's at the bottom of the charts- commentaries get better for the bigger albums!!
April 9, 201213 yr 38. Jeff Wayne "War Of The Worlds" #05 Forever Autumn - good song here, have heard it before #36 Eve Of The War - really like this, great instrumental Nice to hear on the radio but not something I'd listen to a whole album of.
April 9, 201213 yr Travis are an amzing band. I love all of their singles and my mum loves them too as she has all of their albums. My favourite song by them though has to be Flowers In The Window as it's such a beautiful and effortless song. Edited April 9, 201213 yr by Griff
April 9, 201213 yr 37. ONLY BY THE NIGHT- Kings Of Leon http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/34/OBTNUS.jpg RELEASED: 2008 PEAK POSITION: 1 WKS ON CHART: 154 gnhXHvRoUd0&ob=av2n
April 9, 201213 yr 37. Kings Of Leon 'Only By The Night' #01 Sex On Fire - it's been overplayed to death but what a great song - my favourite from them #02 Use Somebody - this is good too, SOF is much much better however #29 Revelry - very average KOL. It's OK but not amazing. Nice to hear this in the chart :D
April 9, 201213 yr Tuning into this, looking forward to the inevitable appearance somewhere of my all time favourite album that isn't by Delta Goodrem :D
April 9, 201213 yr Only By The Night is a great album - Sex On Fire and Use Somebody are classics if just a LITTLE bit overplayed :kink: Revelry and Notion are great too but quite poor single choices, the likes of 'Crawl' and 'Closer' would have been a bit better. It was a mystery that 'Notion' managed to completely miss the top 100, the album had sold quite a lot by the time of its release of course but to compare, Adele could at least get to #85 with 'Rumour Has It'.
April 9, 201213 yr Sex on Fire will remain a classic till the end of time! However, I love Scissor Sisters' Laura much more! Great tune!
April 9, 201213 yr 36. SCISSOR SISTERS- Scissor Sisters http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/28/Scissoralbum.jpg RELEASED: 2004 PEAK POSTION: 1 WKS ON CHART: 113 jRk5Gjl_cAg&ob=av2n
April 9, 201213 yr I love the two big KOL singles, not even killed by overplay, but they've never done anything anywhere near as good imo! Never been keen on Scissor Sisters, I only like Laura and Take Your Mama of their debut album's singles.
April 9, 201213 yr 36. Scissor Sisters 'Scissor Sisters' #10 Comfortably Numb - love this a lot. Much better than Pink Floyd's (bland, imo) original #17 Take Your Mamma - only 17 :o it felt much bigger than that. Very good #12 Laura - another amazing one from them. 2004 was their best era! #14 Mary - didn't like this that much, still OK #05 Filthy/Gorgeous - good song but doesn't deserve to be their highest peaker from the era Best chart entry so far  I loved Scissor Sisters at the time, they aren't so good now tbh
April 9, 201213 yr I do like Scissor Sisters' version of 'Comfortably Numb' - I didn't know it was a cover at the time  Filthy / Gorgeous, Laura and Take Your Mama are good as well, not too keen on 'Mary' though. Much better on the whole than the singles from the second album, but the third provided their best single to date in the form of Fire With Fire
April 9, 201213 yr 35. BUT SERIOUSLY- Phil Collins http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f5/Phil_Collins-But_Seriously.jpg RELEASED: 1989 PEAK POSITION: 1 WKS ON CHART: 71 Sold a million in 6 wks back in late 89! Qt2mbGP6vFI&ob=av2n
April 9, 201213 yr ...but the third provided their best single to date in the form of Fire With Fire  This! :D Fantastic song, should have been much bigger than just #11! One of my favourites from Summer 2010!
April 9, 201213 yr I do like Scissor Sisters' version of 'Comfortably Numb' - I didn't know it was a cover at the time  :o So young and innocent... I envy you. :D
April 9, 201213 yr 34. THE JOSHUA TREE- U2 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/6b/The_Joshua_Tree.png RELEASED: 1987 PEAK POSITION: 1 WKS ON CHART: 167 10TH biggest seller of the 80s XmSdTa9kaiQ&ob=av2n
April 9, 201213 yr 35. Phil Collins "But Seriously" Not familiar with anything from this album, but the song played on the radio is alright - not up with his best to be honest 34. U2 "The Joshua Tree" #04 With Or Without You - it's good but overated #06 I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - the best from this era, not something I'd listen to out of choice however #04 Where The Streets Have No Name - it's alright #48 In Gods Country - never heard U2 are very average, my favourite single from them was "Vertigo" which came much later
