Maybe Call Me Maybe will become like Firework, and be used in the background of seemingly everything. Any song with strings in seems to be used for those things a lot.

They're not out on the same week anyway?

Tulisa pulled her release forward a week but it doesn't seem to have been reflected on the new release schedule.

Oh, well I checked the iTunes album chart yesterday and it says they are both out on the same day, and Rita was slightly ahead of Tulisa.

So I hope it has been moved forward! :D

Ordinary People at no.15 :o

As per previous people in this thread, not really surprising at all! Great song though, should be heading for a new peak (previously got to #27).

Also:

74. What's Up - 4 Non Blondes

83. The A Team - Ed Sheeran

What they did with that song on The Voice? I didn't understood...

And it's a great song.

Definitely can't complain at that returning, #32 is a shockingly low peak for a modern classic.
What they did with that song on The Voice? I didn't understood...

And it's a great song.

One girl came in and sang it for audition, then another guy (who auditioned with The A Team by Ed Sheeran) sang it after Jessie J asked him to sing something else because she loved him so much.

#27 :P

Wikipedia has its peak at #30 for some reason. Must go fix that :magic:

YESSSS!! :cheer:

COME ON!!!

And he knocked Chris Brown out of the top 10 aswell! Quite a nice surprise.

No idea why I said #32, I didn't even Polyhex it, I just randomly pulled the incorrect peak out from memory - perhaps it was #32 at some point during its chart run

'Ordinary People' is an absolute gem. I'm certain that there will be many people who heard the track tonight on The Voice for the first time and liked what they heard. The fact it was performed twice by two different singers (I still think the last lad to audition was all a set up :D ) will only add to its boost.

Why did that last lad who auditioned get to sing two songs anyways?

I wonder what it's total sales are, probably around the 75 - 100k mark?? Does anyone know if it was regularly in the iTunes top 1000?

It was #32 in its second week :P

27-32-35-38-38-52-53-68-x

I wonder if it could sneak into the top 40 tomorrow?

I think that'll be enough for it to get in the top 40 this week? It's still got 3 hours more sales to go aswell, and it's got the top 10 promotion now too.

I bet Heart FM will playlist it soon. They playlisted Iris, Don't Stop Believin' and Make You Feel My Love after they got large sale boosts.
