Oh thank GOD Sway has made the top 10 after all. I will not be a happy Bré if he gets knocked straight out again by fun. though so KEEP CLIMBING.

What song are we on about here :L

'We Are Young' by fun. feat. Janelle Monáe.

Edited by M.I.É.

The release date won't make much difference to anything really. It's going to be massive and will still be top 10 come June regardless.

Exactly. It'll get to #1 whatever happens imo. It's like it wouldn't have mattered if Party Rock Anthem or Give Me Everything or We Found Love or Titanium or Somebody That I used to Know were released mid-week, they'd've been #1 whatever happened, so I think it's the same with We Are Young (infact Titanium and We Found Love were released mid-week, not sure about the others).

SO HAPPY FOR SWAY!!!! :cheer:  Now he just needs to get to #9 before fun. get top 10.

<_< God forbid you go back a page.

well, ABOUT TIME, hopefully it will at least near number 1 by the end of the week :D although I do get a horrible feeling with Calvin Harris' out next week and Conor Maynard the week after, that this will become 2012's Moves Like Jagger :(

YAYYY!!! :cheer: So happy it's finally been released (even though i'm growing a little tired of it, due to overplaying it already)

I'm going to download it asap!

I think Calvin Harris will easily go to #1 as it's a dance song. Not sure about Conor Maynard, as his song isn't that generic. It could simply not go to #1 in the same way that Climax, Boyfriend and Level Up aren't going to #1 this week.

And We Are Young is probably going to have massive longevity anyway, so should be in contention for #1 for more than 3 weeks. If it doesn't have enough longevity to be contending for #1 for more than 3 weeks, and ends up starting off 2-2-2, behind 3 different #1s, that's not a big deal, because that's the same as Sean Paul's just done.

Isn't Calvin Harris' single released on 22nd April? I've not even heard 'Let's Go', not even on the music channels so perhaps there isn't a video yet.

fun. should therefore have at least 1 week at no. 1 next week but it's left to be seen if they can hold on and keep Calvin/Conor off the top spot.

I don't get the hatred for MLJ-type chart runs. I love(d) 'Moves Like Jagger' but I always championed it to stall at #2 every one of those weeks just because I loved the chart run #chartgeek. If fun. do the same, I wouldn't mind. It's not really a song that I care too much about. I don't love it nor hate it.

I can't see Can't Say No not going to number one, the airplay has been phenominal.
Fantastic news for The Saturdays!

I doubt it will get top 3 this week tbh, But I am hoping it can at least go top 10!

i do wonder if the saturdays have a realistic shot now....

whoops, Let's Go is actually released in two weeks time, my bad!

We Are Young is rapidly becoming one of my favourites of the year, so I'd like to see it at number 1 :kink: I do see your point though, I'd much rather it stall at 2 for ages than go to number 1 and then fall down fast.

I want We Are Young to get to #1, because I'm not going to be able to stand people on this forum going ON and ON and ON about it for months if it doesn't. :drama: And also I want it to get to #1 since I like the song.

Predicting this week's top 10 is going to be a challenge then - fun. will no doubt push Sway out - but David Guetta, Emeli Sande and Flo Rida could all still hold on to the top 10 placement as the result of multiple versions - in fact Azealia Banks could well end up falling this week from #12 rather than re-peaking.

I don't think so but stranger things have happened.

If Fun. can get a good lead by this time tomorrow, they should hopefully challenge for #1 this week. There are a few big releases coming up, so it's glad they've released now. What an anthem!
Despite what iTunes thinks, its released next week (check Amazon)

its even on his Twitter page

Well there goes 'We Are Young' chances for no. 1 then. :D Looks like we will have another big selling no. 2 hit then. Conor, Calvin will come and go but like RFC said, fun. will remain high up the charts for a couple of months.
