I'm sorry, but Chris Brown having a #1 is infinitely worse than Justin Bieber. I haven't listened to Boyfriend yet but it surely cannot be worse than that aural diarrhoea Brown come up with...

I wish people weren't so quick to judge Justin Bieber, just because it's Justin Bieber. 'Boyfriend' is a fantastic song and deserves to do well! I'm definitely team Justin this week! I just think people shouldn't judge just because it's his song and should give the song a listen before they have any right to judge. I could have guessed this would be the reaction from people before 'Boyfriend' even premiered.

 

I can't speak for others but I don't judge the song because it's Bieber. I did so before I heard it, I admit (although that was more jokingly than seriously), but having now heard it it's just as awful as I thought it would be. If Bieber puts out a song that I actually enjoy then I'm not going to act like I hate it. He just hasn't done so yet :P His part in 'Live My Life' is actually okay, but the rest of the song is awful.

 

And I don't just dislike it because I had the idea in my head that I would, because I've thought that about plenty of other songs that I've ended up really liking (e.g. 'Stereo Hearts', 'Naturally', 'Rhythm Of Love' by Plain White T's).

I have listened to the song (not voluntarily, I heard it on radio 1) and I thought it was terrible. Why does Justin think he can rap? :blink: His voice is still annoying to listen to. It's not his worst ever song but it still doesn't deserve to be big.

Pretty much this. I haven't heard the song yet, but I can't imagine Boyfriend being worse than Turn Up the Music.

 

Justin Bieber is on/off for me. I love One Time for example, but Eenie Meanie was one of the most dull songs I ever heard.

Sway and Usher :wub: Now they are two artists that deserve to be top 10! Sway's last hit was lucky to get top 20, but this one is more commercial so I'm hoping it can at least have similar sucess to "Still Speeding"

I think that its good he hasnt got #1 in many places yet, gives him something to aim for and still have on his to do list, if i was an artist i wouldnt want it all so quickly and in the first few years i'd want to build up & always have something to reach for rather then get it so quickly/easily and in result become complacent or just run out of steam.

He seems like a nice kid, being a good looking guy helps him with the girls but also works against him too because people may be jealous of his looks/attention he gets, i got nothing against him, not a fan but not a 'hater'. Just neutral really.
