I didn't realise that Blur had an upcoming single release. :o

But they have recorded new material since they got back together, they released 'Fools Day' in 2010 for Record Store Day, and gave it away as a free download.

I thought you were pointing out a typo at first but now you've corrected your own slight slip of the keyboard

I'd forgotten about that RSD release. Sadly I didn't get a copy :(

In the Guardian, Damon said that they will not release anything any more and call it quits totally after Hyde Park in August. Sort of hope it's true. They'll never reach the magic again.

Blue or Blur?

If only the 'e' and 'r' keys weren't right beside each other on the keyboard. Unfortunately for the band Blut, I've never pressed the button to the other side of that key.

If the Brits performance is anything to go by, it's not too much of a shame that there won't be any new material

The latter part of the performance was a lot better but that was only shown on ITV2 (or 4 or whichever one it was). They won't have to worry about Adele being shoved offstage just before they come on either.

Poor Blut :(

Bré's magical correction machine strikes again :magic:

End Of Time only had one week in the chart on the album's release, it re-entered two weeks ago.

The Man Who Can't Be Moved has also re-entered the top 40 two other times before now. It had its initial run, then re-entered from the gift card effect at the start of 2009, then re-entered again I think after being performed on the X Factor in 2010 and now starts its fourth top 40 run from its performance on The Voice + price reduction. The New Year re-entry added 2 weeks which you seem to have missed out, so it's hit its 22nd week top 40 today, not its 20th :P

(That's all :kink: Great read as always).

Oops, yes I missed those two extra weeks for The Script. Spreadsheet now corrected. Eventually I will get a full set of spreadsheets completed but it might take a while.

The later re-enrty definitely coincided with the release of the second album although it may also have been performed on Fix Factor or something.

I've just checked my commentary for the relevant week and The Man Who Can't Be Moved was indeed performed on that programme. It just happened to coincide with the release of the album.
