PERSONALLY, I think this is her most UNDERRATED album.!

'I'm A Slave 4 U' obviously being one of her best singles ever, the album really does have amazing album tracks, 'Cinderella', 'Let Me Be' and 'Bombastic Love'

RATE TIME:

10 I'm A Slave 4 U

09 Overprotected

08 Lonely

06 I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman

08 Boys

07 Anticipating

04 I Love Rock N Roll

10 Cinderella

09 Let Me Be

10 Bombastic Love

06 That's Where You Take Me

08 What It's Like To Be Me

VERY SOLID ALBUM. Awful single choices though. 'Cinderella' would have been HUGE! :(

Good. Turn Cheryl off, she's shite (minus a few songs I really like).

She has four amazing songs. BUT, I'd much rather listen to 'Britney', only skipping 'I Love Rock N Roll' because it's a bit awful.

"Anticipating" is one of my favourite Britney non-singles ever! So much cheese; I first fell in love with it after seeing her performance of it from one of her tours on TV a few years ago:

The thing with Britney is, I love every single album of hers as they're all pretty different and a slight improvement/change in sound on the era before, each and every time. This album is incredible, but due to how amazing her other albums are, it's "only" her 5th best.

09.0 I'm A Slave 4 U

10.0 Overprotected [[Along with 'Stronger', it's her most under appreciated song!]]

08.5 Lonely

07.5 I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman

04.5 Boys [[My least favourite single of hers. By a LONG way.]]

09.0 Anticipating

06.0 I Love Rock N Roll

10.0 Cinderella

08.5 Let Me Be

08.0 Bombastic Love

09.0 That's Where You Take Me

09.0 When I Found You

10.0 Before The Goodbye

08.0 What It's Like To Be Me

YES CASEY!

I've always thought 'Britney' was up there with 'Blackout' as one of her best, I've never understood the obsession with 'In the Zone really!

'Britney' has three of my favourite ever Britney singles on it...'I'm a Slave 4 U', 'Boys' and 'Overprotected' are all amaaazing.

'What It's Like to be Me' is definitely another highlight, still sounds pretty fresh to me. 'Cinderella' would've been huge if released, like you say.

YES! I just rediscovered this recently and it's brilliant. Definetly the best of her earlier albums I'd say, such a good pop album.

The highlights for me are 'Overprotected', 'I'm A Slave 4 U', 'Cinderella', 'Anticipating', 'Let Me Be' and 'Lonely'. I agree with Cremey too I've never really understood the obsession with 'In The Zone', past the singles it's actually quite a weak album in my opinion!

Definitely agree with this! 'Britney' is probably my second fave after 'Blackout', although I do still love 'In The Zone', which was her best era of singles for me, the album has a few songs I'm not a HUGE fan of.

I do really like this album, although I feel its been overshadowed by the albums before (OIDIA) and after (ITZ) it. However, as much as I think it's a strong album, the era was a mess single wise. How did Before The Goodbye go from being the lead single to a bonus track? Makes no sense to me, especially since I love this song and feel it would've made a much better single than IAS4U. Slave kinda alienated her fanbase and besides the iconic video, the song really isn't that good. Then you have "Boys" which really should've remained an average album track, the song wasn't strong enough and its pretty much forgotten these days. Finally, you have "ILR&R", which I kinda dig, but in the same vein as "Satisfaction" on OIDIA, should've remained an album track. These last 2 should've been replaced by "Cinderella" and "Lonely", which are in my top3 tracks along with BTG.

'Before The Goodbye' is a ridiculously amazing song, but it would have taken her in a completely different direction, it's one of the danciest (not a word) songs she's ever recorded and I guess they wanted to keep a slight urban edge. Britney does feel like a bridge between the pure pop of her first two albums and the different styles on In the Zone. That said, it's my personal favourite of those first four, although as ever with Brit I'm not totally on board with the singles choices. 'Boys'? When you have 'Cinderella'? U cray?

'Cinderella' to 'That's Where You Take Me' is probably one of the strongest runs on any of her albums. Flawless songs.

Oh, and the album cover is a bit rank.

'Before The Goodbye' is a ridiculously amazing song

Yes! It is one of my favorite 'Britney' songs. It should have been the second single.

Also let's not foget "I Run Away" BT did I Run Away, Before The Goodbye and NSync's "Pop". She should definitely hook up with him again.
I Run Away should have replaced 'That's Where You Take Me'.
Oh, and the album cover is a bit rank.

:o

I'd say it's her best cover by some distance! Actually, 'In the Zone' would be a close second but they're head and shoulders above the rest.

The 'Britney' cover would be perfect without text!

Unfortunately Britney's never been one to have amazing album covers :(
