Chart injustice <_< Rebecca Black's version will be remembered for being a massive viral hit on Youtube yet Glee had to peak higher officially.

Now up to #944. Get that Top 900 SMASH Delta :yahoo:

On a more serious note, you'd think a comeback single from Delta Goodrem would do a bit better than low top 1000. It just proves that outside this forum she's very irrelevant. I'm no fan of the song but it deserves more than #944 to be honest. B-)

Considering it's charting on word of mouth alone, it's done amazingly well just to get that far with no one really knowing its out. Hopefully this will be a sign to Sony that there is interest in Delta here and may give them the confidence to start releasing the song to TV and Radio, then if that goes well, get her to come over and promote

Not really, she's been away from the UK for 7 years as she neglected to even release her last album 'Delta' (and one of the best pop songs of all time, Believe Again) here when it was released in 2007 for some reason. Maybe I'm just looning but I'd argue that if she released it, Believe Again could well have been her biggest selling song, she'd be a slightly bigger name here and thus Sittin' On Top Of The World would be off to a better start. Although 5 years is still a long gap tbf, she probably still would've been forgotten!

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top of the World - #902

Edit: Flipping heck now #845!!

Tbh, I've never got the hate for Rebecca Black, she got herself a lot of money from Friday, but she actually donated the money to great causes and didin't keep all the money for herself.

Looking likely that Calvin Harris - Let's Go will be another number #02 smash, It dosen't help there's not a video to accompany the song but Calvin is still 55% behind Carly which he will not overcome. I think I might be the only person to believe this could cross 1million sales in the Uk tbh (Depending On Promo), It should sell another 100,000+ plus this week.

If anyone is going to knock Carly off the top spot it will be Tulisa next week, that's around it, but as previously said I can see Fun being this years high selling #02 peak.

and one of the best pop songs of all time, Believe Again

That's certainly high praise. I just listened to Believe Again for the first time, expecting a complete stormer of a pop song. It doesn't go anywhere at all. I'd say Delta has a good few songs that are ten times better than that, and I don't even know much of her work after her first album. Different strokes for different folks though I suppose.

Also just listened to Sitting On Top Of The World for the first time (which is miles better than Believe Again in my opinion) and it's quite a jaunty little tune. I hope it gets considerably higher than top 900.

Talking about her first album though, Lost Without You, Innocent Eyes and Predictable remain cracking pop songs.

I'm quite surprised not many people had heard of Delta on this forum looking back at the last couple of pages! I've got Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity and I'm sure she was very popular here when she release Born To Try, Lost Without You, Not Me, Not I etc. I think I might have grown to love Sitting On Top enough now to download it :D

I think I might be very late with this observation, but I think I've discovered the reason behind Rich's user name 'gooddelta' - I assume it's to do with Delta Goodrem! I can't believe its taken me this long to notice! :drama:
