1) We have 2 Canadian Artists, at No.1 & No.2, in the UK Singles Chart,

this Week - Carly Rae Jepsen, (No.1), & Justin Bieber, (No.2). It is the

first time that it has ever happened - in the UK Singles Chart.

 

2) It has happened twice before, in the UK Album Chart:,

 

CANADIAN ARTISTS at No.1 & No.2 IN THE UK ALBUM CHART (IN THE SAME WEEK)

I think '21' has a fairly decent shot at at least matching Simon & Garfunkel's record for most runs at #1 (excluding soundtracks) - most people thought its 21st week would be its last but it's gone and gone back there again, proving once again that she's not to be underestimated!

Anyway, this week's education moment - the Alabama Shakes singer is female?! Most male sounding female since Tracy Chapman? :lol:

 

I feel obliged to point out that the reappearance of Wheatus has nothing, or at least very little, to do with the band campaigning it, it's just that it's 59p again on iTunes. This is also the main reason Train are back although the performance on The Voice is why it re-entered at 53 two weeks ago.

It looks like I wasn't the only one who thought this until this week. I might have to pick up their album.

It's the throaty nature of her voice on Hold On that is so misleading.
