Below is a list of the years the UK chart has been in existence, I have started the list with 5 achievements by year, can you think of any else to fill the gaps or add to list.

 

It can be any chart record of achievement for example 1991 gave us the Longest stay a #1 consecutively(16 wks)

 

Other examples, fastest sale of a Number 1, fastest sale of a debut hit anything that is a record of achievement, and match it to the year.

 

 

1952 - First UK Number 1 - longest run at no. 2 before hitting no. 1

1953 - longest top 5 run without hitting no. 1 - first Oscar winning single to go to number one - Most non-consecutive weeks at #1 by a single(18wks)

1954 -  first foreign language no. 1 - first male solo instrumentalist number one - first female solo instrumentalist number one

1955 - most versions of same song in top 20

Almost but not quite- that was Helen Shapiro who was 14 back in the early 60s. :P
