April 19, 201213 yr Thank God I don't listen to any of those stations! And I got fed up with "My Way" after 3 years! Worse than listening to that awful Gold station. Edited April 19, 201213 yr by davetaylor
April 19, 201213 yr And it was just as awful every single time. Indeed. To think our airwaves have been polluted 200,000 times with that Goddawful dirge! Edited April 19, 201213 yr by Col1967
April 19, 201213 yr It makes me wonder why songs can ever get close to 200,000 plays within a six year time frame. When you consider all the songs in the world, it shows just how restricted UK radio playlists really are. I reckon we'll have 'Someone Like You' by Adele, or maybe 'Sex On Fire' by Kings Of Leon getting the 200,000 plays award in the next couple of years. How about giving other unknown songs even 50 plays at radio instead? :D

How about giving other unknown songs even 50 plays at radio instead? :D Well radio in the main isn't about breaking new talent, it's about keeping listeners. So it's generally going to play 'safe' stuff that has been or is a big hit. Tracks that most people like, radio for in the car, background music etc. How many times have I been the works canteen and heard 'Domino' playing in the kitchen? Jessie J is about as safe as you can get :) Though I suspect that was a rhetorical question you were asking and you really already knew the answer.... Edited April 19, 201213 yr by Col1967
April 19, 201213 yr I'm going to be different and say this is very well deserved, it still sounds gorgeous to this day :D although it seems they'll never escape association with this song any more even if they do have further hits that outchart it!
April 19, 201213 yr And if this isn't a good enough reason to never ever listen to atrocious radio stations (ALL of them especially Radio 1,.... ugh), then I don't know what is....
April 19, 201213 yr I'm the only person that still loves it, its my guilty pleasure No your not alone, i love the song and am delighted it has and still is doing so well for them, its not my favourite song by them but i do still like it alot.
