It’s a shame that we have so many legendary artists who are under-certified because much of their sales pre 1994 aren’t recognised.

I'm not sure, but the article says "he joined in on its writing sessions" rather than production.

Justin is famed for his all-star collaborations, and up in fifth is possibly his starriest of them all. Justin teamed up with Madonna for 4 Minutes, the lead single from her 2008 album Hard Candy. It was a winning combination – the track spent 4 weeks at Number 1, which is Justin's longest run at the top, and boasts over 575,000 combined sales.

From the OCC as part of Justin Timberlake's best sellers - that's 36k since its last update in November 2016.

Is that because of streaming tho ?

Into The Groove was the 22nd best selling vinyl single in the UK in 2017.

It’s got to be close to the 900,000 mark now one would assume .

Good news: we got a sales update:

Evita - Madonna (1996)

Helmed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Alan Parker, Evita and its music was a big change both visually and vocally for its leading lady Madonna.

The collection reached Number 1 in the UK 13 weeks after its release and earned Madonna another three Top 10 singles: You Must Love Me, Another Suitcase in Another Hall and, of course, Don’t Cry For Me Argentina. At the time of writing the soundtrack has sold 733,000. Look back at Madonna's complete Official UK Chart history.

Bad news: it has lost sales. When Music Week revealed Evita had sold 86,788 copies in the 21st century back when Rebel Heart debuted, adding 90s sales gave a total of 835k. This new total is 100k down.

Celebration just sneaking into today's midweek update at #198, thanks to the airing of her Rebel Heart Tour on Saturday night.

With turning 60 this year hopefull Celebration and TIC will continue to sell a few good thousand more

copies.

Not sure if Celebration made it in the end (I'm guessing probably not) although The Immaculate Collection re-entered the album download chart at #83.

For her 60th birthday remaster and rerelease TIC

With a gold or platinum cover !!!

Celebration re-enters at #187 this week, another 700 copies sold which takes its total to just under 624k.

That's nearly 24k since it was certified 2x Platinum last March which works out at about 500 copies a week.

624k for a GH with that tracklisting.

TIC seems to still outsell this . I would love an updated figure on that album.

NEW BPI CERTIFICATION!

'The Power of Goodbye'/'Little Star' has been certified Silver for sales of 200k.

It sold 161k in the 90s (including 142k in 1998, placing as the 132nd best seller that year) and had sold 175k by August 2008 and 180k by September 2010.

Next to be certified is probably going to be 'Give It 2 Me' which is likely in the 190k-199k region. '4 Minutes' could be Platinum before the year is out too.

Does that push it up her best selling singles chart ?

Immaculate Collection re-entered at #170 on 8th June. It seems like downloads/streaming data still weren't added (this data was absent throughout the midweeks) - rather strange. This was its 708th week in the Top 200.

Celebration was only a few places lower at #177, its 120th week charting.
