Great to see Skrillex 'Bangarang' FINALLY get on the Radio 1 playlist. Top 40 hit please

The 2000 A-List is absolutely SUBLIME. So many amazing songs in one list !

YAY for the Satz!!

WHYB and Mac Miller

SO many songs on the retro playlist, I wish they playlisted this number now, would inevitably lead to a quicker chart turnover/more unique hit singles. An amazing list too, I own a ton of them on single, interesting to see a few flops playlisted (e.g. Andreas Johnson's second single which never took off). Really wish Made In London's Dirty Water had been a bigger hit than it was, didn't even realise it had Radio 1 backing.

Can't say I remember how that Andreas Johnson song goes :P Yes the playlist has suffered successive shrinkings over the years, it was huge back in 1997.

2000 was a brill year for dance especially.

Great to see Alex Clare skipping the blist and Lana staying in the alist - great song, wish it recorded a top 40 place!

Pity Gemini only got a month of blist action, great to see Ben Howard and Kasabian on the alist - im really impressed with Kasabians current era - first album of theres ive brouvght and all the singles are immense inc Man of Simple Pleasures. Pity after the first single indie bands cant get their singles top 40!!
