This new song for the jubille by Gareth Malone and Gary Barlows going to be no1 in a couple of weeks isnt it?? I think we need a sexpistols song re-release and this time the real result should be known!!

Gareth Malone doing a Jubilee record with Gary Barlow :o Gareth Malone proved last xmas he knows how to get a song to #1 with massive sales, so I think this will do the same but on a smaller impact than Wherever You Are

Really glad that Fun have finally made it to Number 1 on itunes. Absolutely love the song and makes a nice change fron the stuff that is topping the chart regularly at the moment.

I think Gotye's success sort of paved the way for fun. to do well too. And arguably the exact opposite os treu in the USA as well, but by the time Gotye took off there he had been massive in pretty much every other country.

It'll be interesting to see if we get more big 'alternative' sounding hits this year. Too Close is sort of another one. Dance music also seems to be making a return, especially drum n bass.

Of course - but the higher it is with 2 & a bit days sales, they better off it'll be overall.

Etta James managed to sneak into the top 40 through having multiple versions and she also died on the Thursday evening IIRC, so I think 'I Feel Love' should be quite comfortably top 40 on Sunday. Not sure if any of her others are likely to even make the top 100 though. IFL is miles ahead of all her other ones when combined. I hope 'Love To Love You Baby' can go top 100, that's the only Donna Summer song I could instantly recognise.

Great to see Fun. at #1 on iTunes finally!

They still won't get there officially though. Rita will most likely stay at #1 this week, and The Wanted are near-certainties to get there next week :(

'R.I.P.' and 'Chasing The Sun' are/will be my 2 favourite #1s of the year aside from 'Paradise' so I wouldn't mind them holding off 'We Are Young' :P WAY looks certain to at least peak at #2 now anyway seeing as it's there in today's mids. Would be nice if it could eventually sneak a week at #1 but it's going to be top 10 for an age either way.

I would prefer Fun. or The Wanted to be my birthday #1! I had to put up with the Give Me Everything last year, which isn't too bad but not the best! And B.o.B and Bruno Mars in 2010! :puke2: Not to forget Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers in 2009! :puke2:

Though Rihanna is my saving grace and was #1 in 2008 and 2007 (with 'Take A Bow' and 'Umbrella')!

Let's hope fun. restores good birthday #1s!

Nothin' On You and Bonkers are pretty high in my lists of favourite #1s from their respective years (the latter is my favourite #1 of 2009) - having a birthday in November has meant I often have to put up with reality show acts and charity singles and whatnot being my birthday #1 :( IIRC my birthday #1 last year was 'We Found Love' though which was good.

Lol well we all know Chasing The Sun wont have anywhere near the longevity of We Are Young regardless if they #1 for a week, I cant see it being huge, the only massive song they have had is GYC.

Where Have You Been  #4

Chasing The Sun won't have massive longevity and certainly won't outlast or outsell We Are Young but I really hope it can at least become their second highest seller, it's by far their best song to date IMO biased because it was written by Example.

Rihanna making progress again, good good - looks like Alex Clare is definitely going to peak at #4 now though :(

Donna Summer update!

36, 51, 99 - I Feel Love

55 - Love To Love You Baby

56 - This Time I Know It's For Real

68 - Hot Stuff

95 - No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)

98 - On The Radio

100 - Last Dance

108, 112 - State of Independence

117 - MacArthur Park

134 - She Works Hard For The Money

173 - Bad Girls

Finally taken off a bit after a pretty slow start. Doing a lot better than Beastie Boys for one (still disappointed they couldn't even get a single song into the official top 100). 'I Feel Love' top version is now up to #32. A few of the others have now fallen a bit though.

The Voice UK songlist...

Team Danny

Max Milner – Black Horse and the Cherry Tree (KT Tunstall)

Bo Bruce – Love The Way You Lie (Part 2) (Rihanna)

Aleks Josh – Better Together (Jack Johnson)

David Julien – She Will Be Loved (Maroon 5)

Team Jessie

Becky Hill – Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes)

Cassius Henry – Turning Tables (Adele)

Toni Warne – Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (Elton John)

Vince Kidd – My Love Is Your Love (Whitney Houston)

Turning Tables

for #1! :cheer: :w00t:

David has BETRAYED me - after 3 fantastic song choices (all of which returned to the top 30) he's gone and turned to the worst band to ever exist. She Will Be Loved sounds okay when sang by other people though, so I'll just hope SWBL doesn't repeat the chart returns of TMWCBM/Dakota/SD. 'Better Together' is amazing if it's the song I think it is  Never knew that was by Jack Johnson somehow! And woo for Turning Tables, hopefully that'll return it to at least the top 100 :D

Has Right By My Side by Nicki Minaj been deleted? i cant seem to find it anymore

I assume the entire album was deleted.

top 200 update :)

 37. Glee Cast - It's All Coming Back To Me Now

:right: 52. Glee Cast - Paradise By The Dashboard Light

:right: 63. Glee Cast - Mean

 70. Glee Cast - Flashdance (What a Feeling)

 97. Glee Cast - Starships

 102. Glee Cast - Because You Loved Me

 113. Glee Cast - Tongue Tied

 118 + 184. Glee Cast - Edge of Glory

 128. Glee Cast - We Are The Champions

 148. Glee Cast - I Won't Give Up

'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' definitely heading for the official top 100 then, probably not anything else but 'Paradise By The Dashboard Light' (you'd think the  is part of its name looking at these updates :P) might just sneak in in the low 90s maybe.

I really doubt it. Nothing related to Gary Barlow has gone to #1 on the singles chart for ages, both 'Shame' and 'The Flood' peaked at #2, 'Run For Your Life' bombed, 'Lighthouse' only made #32 after 25 straight Westlife top 10 hits etc. Plus royal events don't really sell music, the Royal Wedding only caused one song to scrape into the top 100 and the albums chart was nowhere near as dominated by army albums and whatnot as most people expected. There's supposed to be a Facebook campaign to get Sex Pistols to #1 but I don't think that's actually going to happen.

What is the chance for Paloma Faith getting a #1 single next week, she is performing on the Voice on Sunday

Scissor Sisters holding up pretty well, still at #12 - they're still at #10 in today's mids so it'd be brilliant if they could hold on and if not I'd like to see Gotye manage one more week in the top 10 :P

'Princess Of China' now  to #19, 'Bangarang' to #23 and 'Hush Little Baby' to #35 :cheer:

'Starships' now at #49 and #77. Why do they keep deleting this? :drama:

'Sweet Disposition' all the way down to #90 already, looks like it'll emulate 'Dakota', 'Use Somebody' and 'Higher Love' in diving from the top 40 to outside the top 75 :( Ah well, it was good to see it briefly back as high as #26.

And Bieber 'Turn To You' is now out of the top 100, so he pretty much only spent a week inside it! 'Bless The Broken Road' is down to #91 but it's still top 30 in the mids.

This could finally give her a top 10 hit then, performing in The Voice gave a massive boost to Scissor Sisters last week. The Wanted will be a pretty safe bet for #1 next week though.

I think it'll struggle to make the top 10 tbh

I think she'll go top 10 but nowhere near #1. The Wanted have the most chance of getting it, it's actually a very good song for them - thanks to Example writing it. Below are the notable releases next week. Jennifer Lopez has had no hype outside of Buzzjack so I think it'll peak around #27. Martin Solveig will probably miss top 40 despite Radio 1 support, his last single 'Ready 2 Go' with Kele failed to go top 40. Pitbull hasn't had much hype either, but the association with Men In Black III should get it at least top 40.

Jennifer Lopez feat Pitbull – Dance Again

Martin Solveig – The Night Out

Paloma Faith – Picking Up The Pieces

Pitbull - Back In Time

The Wanted - Chasing The Sun (CDS)

I'd imagine Dance Again will go top 10 but I'd be surprised if it went top 5, it has had a lot of video exposure but hasn't radio pretty much entirely blanked it so far? Also it's a very weak song.

36 - Martin Solveig – The Night Out

06 - Paloma Faith – Picking Up The Pieces

12 - Pitbull - Back In Time

01 - The Wanted - Chasing The Sun

That's where I reckon they will chart next week.

Dance Again sounds so eurovision, I think it could be a winning song

I think it should get low top 10 as its always on the TV, but radio hasnt touched it, so wont do that well.

Has nothing on the brilliant On The Floor!

Not heard the Pitbull track yet, but I still don't think it'll debut inside the top 40 next week - it may just linger around the top 100 for a few weeks though (a la 'Safe & Sound' from Taylor Swift & The Civil Wars). The Wanted are looking the likeliest contender for #1, they should be able to match the 60-80k that recent #2s (e.g. Conor Maynard) have debuted with, and I don't see Rita Ora or Fun. achieving such sales. Paloma will do a Scissor Sisters, debuting around the top 20 region, the new track is nowhere near her best though - but she should grab the #1 album spot at least. 'Dance Again' I have no idea about, it could linger in the top 40 for a while, or just debut outside the top 10 and go into free-fall shortly after.

The next few weeks could be interesting though, you've got Cheryl on June 10, but nothing that screams #1 (in my opinion), though this Jubilee track could well do it - I've heard it on the radio twice now (and it was only posted on line today).

Calvin Harris is releasing his next single (featuring Example) in July. Wonder if it will be another #2 for him, 4 from one album will be insane.

#27 for Dance Again? LMAO, are you SERIOUS?!

I've never heard it on the radio, but I still think it'll be able to go top 40 from her name and internet hype. Possibly top 20 but I'll be surprised if it goes top 10.

Dance Again will get Top 10, Top 5 if lucky IMO. Not going to get #1 though as I think it's an inferior version of On The Floor.

A much more prompt follow-up than 'Let's Go' was to 'Feel So Close'. So happy to see Calvin and Example finally doing a collaboration, I've been hoping they'd do one for some time now. I just hope it's not as disappointing as 'Daydreamer' was (although that did grow on me). Based on the artists alone, hopefully this will finally get Calvin a fourth #1 :kink:

Pretty much everything Pitbull does sounds like it should be from Eurovision.

I think Dance Again will chart somewhere between #6 and #20. It hasn't been played enough on the radio to go to #1.

I really hope Emeli Sande can climb into the top 10 next week.

Ideal scenario is The Wanted at #1 next week, and then Fun the week after as TW will be frontloaded and I can't see anything big in the near future.

Sadly I think the following week will have another frontloaded #1 in the form of DJ Fresh feat. Dizzee Rascal 'The Power'. So sadly fun. could end up no. 1 on iTunes on the Friday for the next fortnight but stall at #2 officially on the Sunday. -_-

I wouldn't mind but 'Chasing The Sun' and 'The Power' are such non songs to me. Neither will be well remembered in a few months time so ideally neither would be no. 1 but alas both are looking very likely to get there atm. :(

'The Power' would also go straight in as one of my favourite #1s of the year alongside 'Paradise' and 'R.I.P.' (and 'Chasing The Sun' if that gets there)! Sadly I'm not sure that will get #1 any more, it's not doing anywhere near as well as 'Louder' and 'Hot Right Now' on pre-orders.

(And I see the Gary Barlow jubilee song is #29 on pre-orders, maybe it could get to #1 though - still more inclined to think it won't though. Rudimental now #25 on pre-orders and released on the same week, that'd be a delightfully unexpected #1).
