Posted May 15, 201213 yr http://buzzworthy.mtv.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/brittany-britney-glee1.jpg Yesterday, Fox announced that pop superstar Britney Spears would be joining their reality competition The X-Factor as a judge and that Glee would follow X-Factor‘s results show on Thursdays. Now comes even more exciting Britney/Glee news: EW has exclusively learned that Glee is planning a second Britney Spears tribute for the fall! Set to be the second episode of the series’ fourth season, this hour homage to Brit Brit will feature eight of her songs but won’t focus on the character of Brittany (Heather Morris) as the first tribute did (Spears is not scheduled to appear in the episode as of now but producers are hoping to work out a deal). The reason for the Spears hour is because the network is so excited about the pairing of a Spears/X-Factor with Glee on Thursday nights. It also certainly doesn’t hurt that the original Britney tribute, which aired early in the second season, is still one of Glee’s highest-rated episode to date. In other Glee news, Chris Colfer let it slip today on Live! With Kelly that the newly announced guest-star Sarah Jessica Parker would be playing Kurt’s mentor on the fourth season. EW has now learned that Kate Hudson, the other big star set for a Glee arc next season, will be playing a similar mentor-type role to Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). Hudson’s role will have her singing but will also be very dance-heavy, which the actress should be able to easily handle as evidenced by her performance in the movie musical Nine.
May 15, 201213 yr Her TV schedule for the fall is seriously amazing - X-Factor // September - December - Modern Family (?) - Glee Tribute 8 Songs // September - TTWE Dance Commercial // Summer 2012
May 15, 201213 yr OMGOMGOMGYES. The first is one of the best Glee episodes to date, and they missed off quite a few songs that I really wanted to be covered so it'll be fabulous to see them pay tribute again! Tina HAS to do Everytime
May 15, 201213 yr "Lucky" please! Normally I hate their tributes, but Britney/Brittany was one of their finest, behind The Power of Madonna. Hoping the new one is just as good :D
May 15, 201213 yr Now she's getting all this promo, it's making me think we could maybe see a new single at the very least this fall?! It'd be silly to waste such a good opportunity I think.
May 15, 201213 yr Get IN! So excited for this. Everything from 'Everytime' until now will surely be considered, seeing as the newest song they did in the first episode was 'Toxic'. I'm expecting 'Hold It Against Me' and 'Womanizer' to be given the "glee treatment" and actually changed. Maybe some sort of mash-up of the two? 'Till the World Ends' will get used I'm sure of it. Quinn MUST get 'Everytime' though  (But it'll probably be a Rachel number, to close the show etc... :P) Gah.
