Hi Pavpav, don't see you round here much :o Anyway iTunes has taken down the top 1000 RSS feed, and the previous top 300 is actually a top 100. If and when they will come back I don't know. I did see an Apple top 400 thread somewhere but I don't have the link. Sozz :(

Loreen is Top 100, how could I not be here?! :o

 #82 Loreen - Euphoria

Loreen up to #82.

Yep, still there after an hour.

Her being top 10 on itunes in the UK and many countries around the world after only a few hours of release just proves how much of a mega star she is...

can u name other artist who can still pull that 25 years into their careers???

It doesn't prove how big a 'mega star' she is, it just proves how big her fanbase is. It's all well and good having a big fanbase but if to can't appeal beyond them then it's not much use.

(She might still be able to though, for example 'All The Lovers' actually had a really good chart run - just saying that the fact this has gone straight to the top 10 doesn't tell anything about an artist's 'star quality', just their core fanbase).

Madonna did, she reached 25 years in 2008 and still had hits like 4 Mintues, but her sucess is now over. All hail the new Queen of Pop, Kylie Minouge
When was the last time Kylie had a hit as big as 4 Minutes?

It must've been back in 2001 :o with her million-seller Can't Get You Out Of My Head. All The Lovers was big too, but not as big as Madonna's 4 Minutes (I remember that song being EVERYWHERE)

All The Lovers might not have sold as much, but I remember it being around more than 4 Minutes. There was also I Believe In You.

Kylie looks set not to have a massive flop this era though like Madonna has (singles wise), although I'd argue that Madonna is still the 'queen of pop', just my two cents, not wanting to spark anything :P

A lot of new faces in this thread today I see :P

Madonna will probably always be the unrivaled Queen of Pop because superstars simply are not made in this day and age. There are lots of women doing pop and some who'll be considered legends in future but none who transcend as many genres and boundaries as Madonna with their music. Kylie is the Princess of Pop though. :D

No way were those songs anywhere near as big as 4 Minutes imo. Like compare where they got in the year-end charts.

Let's not go down the road of the endless Madonna/Kylie comparisons...
Fantastic for Kylie and Loreen, regardless of whether she wins or not, Euphoria will SHOOT up on Sunday

right, also 'In my arms' was a big hit in continental Europe unlike '2 Hearts' and 'Wow'....

Kylie  #08

I'm not going to buy it until Sunday, myself - I don't see the point until she gets a full week of sales.

Oooh, new Kylie up the charts ! First listen : I like it a lot !

Good comeback track, whatever project it's from !
