Albania was amazing. Definitely going up in my rankings after that performance!

Quite happy with the results, if it was a perfect world than I'd have replaced Hungary and Albania with Israel and San Marino, but I knew they weren't going to qualify and I've only liked Israel from the performance tonight so it's no big loss.

 

This semi has only made me realise even more that Euphoria is going to absolutely dominate the final, tbh I could see a Fairytale-like victory taking place.

I thought the presenters "happiness" was very forced and the atmosphere was a bit flat.

 

Yea, I've never seen worse presenters and I've watched the contest carefully since 1996. They were speaking French like it was the funniest/most difficult thing to do in the world and made such a big fuss about it.

 

Also, they forgot to mention Spain among the big 5 in the beginning.

 

Been revealed as 10th is so nerve wrecking but brilliant at the same time.

Overall I'm QUITE PLEASED. 9/10 on my final prediction after the performances (though I had Austria in over Albania). I saw Latvia's fall coming so it's ALRIGHT.

Does anyone know if the drawer is tonight for the 1st Semi's? I am sure the last few years it has been?

 

Really enjoyed tonight, my family were all laughing at Russia, it really wouldn't surprise me if they won actually but top 5 is a certainty. As always, I think the winner will be determined by the drawer. If Sweden get an early drawer and one of the other favs like Romania/Russia etc get a late drawer it could be a big battle.

It pains me to admit it but Albania's entry was clearly going down a STORM in that stadium. It just sounds like one long winded horrendous mess to me. :no:

 

 

Their entry reminded me of Ruth from the Voice with those powerful vocals, just was a lot of noise.

It starts at 22:30 British Time according to eurovision.tv/esctv and will be streamed there :D

9/10 right of what I thought would make it into the final. I would have chosen Switzerland, Finland, and Austria instead a few others that did qualify (Hungary, Moldova, and especially Albania) but I knew that most likely Austria would finish something like 17th/18th, Switzerland about 15th and Finland something like 12th so I wasn't holding my breath for those songs. Iceland's song is probably my favourite qualifier.

There wasn't really MUCH to bring it alive tonight. Most of my faves that didn't qualify I already knew were complete also-rans. Thursday's going to BREAK MY HEART though when the Netherlands don't go through, I can just tell :(

I'm a bit disappointed that Ivi was so sh*t live. Rona was absolutely brilliant, the grannies (and also Pasha :kink: ) were cute.

 

I'm very pleased with the results. I'm happy with Hungary :cheer: and love every entry who made the final. I have to watch this again :D

I'm not the only one who thought the presenters were painfully dull and wooden am I? (and had an awful sense of humour with jokes that seemed like they were thought up five minutes before the show started)

 

It feels like we were spoiled with the Norwegian and German presenters of previous years. :(
