Which semi did you enjoy the most?

Easily semi final 1 for me, but overall it wouldnt be a strong year song wise for me. Maybe my opinion will change when is see all the songs again on Saturday night.

Really good quality over all, and good results all round too except for Slovenia and the Netherlands!

Semi 1, but by much less of a margin than it was a week or so ago. Semi 2 just has a few worse songs in it, or at least more I like, but there's a lot of great stuff there too.

Semi 1 was better quality-wise, but I was far more excited for tonight as the first semi's results were just so predictable.

Yeah, same. The performances really brought a lot of semi 2 songs alive, whereas most of semi 1 felt like it was just on autopilot.

Not too big a gap but semi 1 for me. I liked semi 1 overall but while semi 2 had higher highs (Loreen, Tooji), it had far lower lows (Switzerland aside)

Semi 1 was miles ahead for me as a few songs i really enjoyed and have listened to a good few times since, with semi 2 there isnt 1 song i can say love.

Another songs in my top 10: Netherlands and Spain

Both semis had bunch of my faves but the second one was stronger overall.

I preferred the second semi. I just liked the songs more. Surprised to see how far ahead semi 1 is on the poll. However, maybe if I had seen each semi like ten times rather than just once (and I didn't listen to most of the songs before the event), I would prefer semi 1 too, who knows...? Cosmic!

Semi 2 was still very good quality wise overall but I think it had too many Balkan ballads in native languages for my liking which gives Semi 1 the edge.

Aside from Sweden, the entirety of my top 6 from the qualifiers comes from semi 1, and that's before you add in Pernilla. And slightly further down, Soluna, Compact Disco, Rona, Anmary, Valentina, Izabo and the grannies boost the quality hugely.

 

Semi 2 just CAN'T compete in comparison. Aside from Sweden, and taking out the DNQs, I only care for Serbia, Macedonia, Norway and maybe Estonia at a stretch.

A trciky one. Semi 1 was consistently "ok" (apart from Cyprus... a blindin' track! Very HedKandi circa 2005) and even San Marino was immense fun. Semi 2, while a lot of dirge, had more highlights for me hence why I prefer 2.

 

Also, this might be just me, but Semi 1 from a TV watcher point of view felt a little "unofficial" when watching. It didn't seem as slick as Semi 2.... something I cant place my finger on.
