Alexandra Burke and her team are probably quiet worried now as this is starting to look like an epic fail.

NO! One day I wasn't on Buzzjack and Loreen fell onto second place! God damn it!
Justin Bieber's new song sounds like a Bruno Mars song

Oh dear. :( I hope I'll like it still. I want him to release another song like One Time.

This thread is *so* going to hit the 1000 post limit before midnight Saturday... :P

Yeah she seemed worried on Loose Women, but its done now and we will see what happens come release week.

Well, Rack City wasn't.

Hence its lack of success in comparison to "We Are Young", although I'm still impressed that Fueled By Ramen had that amount of pushing power. If they could do that with Paramore's next single that'd be grand.

With We Are Young, it got used in an advert on the Superbowl, and then shot up to #1 on US iTunes, and then radio jumped on it, and then it spun off from there, with other countries seeing its success there and playing it too. It wouldn't have been a hit without the advert, and I'm not sure if the record label had anything to do with the song being in the advert (apart from giving permission for it to be used I guess). But if they did, then yes, it'd be a good thing for them to try with Paramore for the next one.

There are loads of songs that I've discovered through BJSC that many of us there agree would be monster hits if given the right amount of exposure, support and airplay.

For eg; I entered 'Somebody That I Used To Know' last September when it was massive in Australia/New Zealand/Belguim etc... Didn't really imagine it would be a massive hit in the UK, yet alone a million seller. It was wishful thinking and so to see this happen was incredible that a track like this could be so successful here.

Then in January, Ryan entered 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen and that's become a massive hit too.

When will Agnes Obel 'Riverside' become the massive UK hit it so deserves to be? :(

That's actually not the whole story.. The song was already becoming a hit (a moderate sales one anyway). Glee had covered it and it had been hovering in the US iTunes for quite some time before the Super Bowl ;-) I think it would never have been noticed as a Superbowl Ad if this didn't happen.. Hence why I thought I'd add to that.

I'm still holding out for a hero release of The Young Professionals - D.I.S.C.O. :kink: Their stuff was on iTUens last year, now they're signed to Polydor France it's not. That must mean something?
