There will be a proper video for Miss Atomic Bomb :o I thought they had moved on to Here With Me.

 

The video is nice. Mostly (not all) animated, but it's still good! I would post the link but i'm on my phone. It's the follow up to 'Mr. Brightside' and it fits nice enough. But hopefully they're holding off on HWM for a Brits performance or something.

Very nice video with a storyline.

Im not sure about miss atomic bomb as a single, i dont think it is strong enough. Maybe its just me but i find it forgettable.

It's a song where the name is better than the song itself, but I still like it. Personally I'd have gone with "The Way It Was".

I think the reason for MAB failure was that it was TOO close to 'Runaways' release. I think had they actually waited until late December (get airplay up for it to sell the album over Christmas), it would have done better. As it's an excellent song imo. I do think 'Here With Me' will fair (even just a tiny bit) better, but only if they have the release date in January/February time. That song would be beautiful with a BRITS performance!

 

Still bitter 'Prize Fighter' is only a bonus though :drama:

Album down to #175 on Billboard with total sales of 239,180. How disappointing :( I know this isn't their best album but I didn't expect it to do so bad :(

At this point, the only promo that could save the album (and by save I mean help it sell Gold at least) would be to perform at some major american awards show.

The 'Here With Me' video has premiered. Not had chance to watch it yet (I'm at work) but it's directed by Tim Burton (he did the video for 'Bones' in 2006!) And it stars Winona Ryder too! :D Looking forward to watching it! :D

Erm, wow. Makes me like the song more as well.

Its a shame they wont manage a big ht of this album, every album so far has had a big lead single and i think the album has siffered because it hasnt. The album now will just about go platinum which is good but still disappointing. Brandons solo album achieved much similar success so i expected the album as its the killers to sell better. Hopefully the next album can do better, maybe im speaking to prematurely but i really think this album is more or less finished. Still a platinum selling album isnt all bad for what will be called their flop album.

I'm gonna let it slide for them though. They were certainly due a "flop", it happens to every artist. I don't know any artist, 4 albums into their career, who have had a perfect run of massive albums. (If that makes sense :lol:)

In terms of studio albums Coldplay have managed it perfectly. However, Battle Born UK wise will still go platinum which isnt something i label a flop but in context of previous album sales by them it is disappointing.

 

How do the Killers usually perform in the US, do their album usually be big hits there and if so does anyone know how Battle Born has performed in relation to previous releases?
