December 1, 201212 yr Author Arsenal are shite. That was arguably the strongest XI bar Giroud and Koscielny for Gervinho / Vermaelen. I know Swansea are a good team with a good manager, but realistically, Arsenal should be beating them at home. And Norwich and Villa and Fulham. I've never doubted Wenger in the past, but now it's just so demoralising to watch them play, I think a shakeup might be in order. I'd rather he resigned that go through the ignominy of being sacked though. Also, Rafa is 25/1 to be the next Prem manager sacked.... worth a punt? The thing is Arsenal were playing like this last season, but they had Van Persie to dig them out of holes time and time again. Swansea are a decent side, but I agree Arsenal should be beating them at home. I just think the Premier League is just so much more competitive this year, outside of the two Manchester Clubs and possibly Chelsea, there isn't a lot between the next 6-8 teams. I've seen Piers Morgan crying out for Wenger to be sacked, but it would be stupid imo. Who are you going to get? None of the managers I'm sure Arsenal fans would like would go there at least until the end of the season. Arsenal fans should be venting their frustration at the owners. You're a very well run club, but there's no investment at all. Personally I believe the ground cost too much and there reason why there is a lack of investment is because they're still paying so much back for building the ground. That's just my theory. I'd be shocked if Benitez went. I don't think he can make Torres work though. Chelsea need a striker more than anything.
December 1, 201212 yr WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Hull up to 5th after a good win at Nottingham Forest. Looking good for at least a play-off place :D Edited December 1, 201212 yr by Oliver
December 2, 201212 yr bristol city were poor today. to let kevin doyle run the whole pitch without anyone closing him down is rediculous. pearson, kilkenny and fontaine were the worst players. iv'e heard reports of a dressing room strike though, where all but 3 players were willing to come out for the second half. reports are derek is meant to resign next week and the shortlist is roy keane, billy davies, steve keane or dion dublin  personally if its any of these 3, id rather keep derek

December 7, 201212 yr This I didn't think Arsenal were that great last season either, but RVP allowed them to paper over the cracks Has Danny Wilson been playing? hes only come on a sa sub once for us i think, so not that much really <_<. we need to play him more i reckon
December 8, 201212 yr Author Rafa Benitez turning Torres round? West Brom's run finally over? I think a special mention needs to be paid to Chris Hughton at Norwich City, what a remarkable couple of weeks!
December 9, 201212 yr Yep Norwich have done really well with a very average squad. I was certain they'd be relegated after we beat them 5-2. Awful defensively
December 9, 201212 yr I hardly think it's surprising that a team starts to be able to defend a lot better when Leon Barnett stops being a part of it. That said, they've only conceded more than once 4 times in 16 games, and that includes a win yesterday! He has built a really good side now, the attacking midfield trio of Snodgrass, Pilkington and Hoolahan is both creative and workmanlike, added to the steel of Tettey and Johnson behind it's exactly what you need a midfield to be like.
December 9, 201212 yr Shameful scenes at the end of the Manchester derby with Rio Ferdinand being hit on the head by a coin, fan ran onto the pitch to confront Rio Ferdinand but stopped by Joe Hart. Of course the FA are investigating what happened. Wonder if Tevez might get a ban following kicking at Phil Jones.
December 9, 201212 yr Those manc twats cant take defeat! As opposed to the non-Manc twats who can't win without sounding like an affront to humanity :D Seriously though, if Mancini got his tactics right as often as Fergie does it'd be City with a six point lead now. Awfully long way to go, the middle is clustering up massively although not pleased to see us drop into the bottom half for the first time even if our nightmare run of fixtures hasn't gone too badly so far.
December 9, 201212 yr Author I don't think there'd have been as much trouble had Manchester United not scored in the 90th minute. Not seen any football today, can't wait to watch Match of the Day later.

It'll be interesting to see what they show. Sky did the usual thing of not showing very much, supposedly because they don't want to allow these idiots to draw attention to themselves. That meant they showed players standing around waiting to restart the game and then showed Utd players running into the City half. That made it clear that something unpleasant was going on but the commentators remained silent.
December 12, 201212 yr is mario balotelli going to ac milan? id love him to drop down to the championship and play for bristol city. Partly to get a reality check and partly because hes so entertaining and random. hes quite a good footballer too. i would definately take a chance on him tbf

December 13, 201212 yr He's an absolutely awesome footballer. I just don't think he is mentally ready. true, hes one of those players that if they became really well behaved, hed be boring and noone would take notice of him. his mind is a bit like cantona and the kung fu kick tbf B-)
December 23, 201212 yr just seen the van persie incident on motd 2. think fergie over-dramatised it a bit by saying "it could have killed him". yes, it was a terrible thing to do, and may have caused injury, but not killed him surely. :o
December 24, 201212 yr Author just seen the van persie incident on motd 2. think fergie over-dramatised it a bit by saying "it could have killed him". yes, it was a terrible thing to do, and may have caused injury, but not killed him surely. :o It was bad and uncalled for by Ashley Williams. The reaction by Van Persie was warranted. It's just excellent PR from Fergie to divert attention away from how poor certain Manchester United players were... some Manchester United players have done far worse things anyway. Pot kettle black. But he does have a point.
December 24, 201212 yr Yep very clever from Fergie. Very little talk about United's performance and instead all the talk has been about his comment
