iTunes disagrees. Heartbreak On Hold says '2012 Simco Ltd' as all Syco releases say (apart from the 2012 bit obviously), so I presumed she was still with Syco.

During an interview the other week, she said that she had more freedom with this album (having left SyCo); so I assumed she was just with RCA Records now - in which case this under-performing record will be excused. I just hope she tries and gets another single or two out of it and launches a nice big tour; much like Cheryl Cole the second album was sure to 'flop' in comparison to the first; she'll come back fighting strong for album #3 though.

None of those artists are on Syco though. Shayne (with 2 high selling albums, and most likely a better selling Q4 release 2 years ago than this) couldn't even survive the drop. Simon seems to have no faith in his artists, and as soon as he can see signs that the public won't buy (without LOTS of effort and promotion), he gives up. Probably me being cynical, but I honestly believe Alexandra stands a FAR HIGHER chance of being dropped than any of those above acts. :(

The Saturdays and Pixie were both doing better than Alexandra though. Much better media support and still achieving top 10 singles.

I'm surprised mostly at Rudimental slipping 1-5 after selling 90k+ last week. Sales for 'Feel The Love' must've decreased quite sharply. Usher at #2 is a big surprised too although Flo Rida 'Whistle' will definitely be no. 2 officially this Sunday.
I think Flo Rida's song will get to number 1 eventually, it will have a similar chart run to We Are Young i think and it reminds me of Good Feeling which also rose up the charts to number 1.
I sort of hope that Flo Rida stops selling this week and picks up where it left off on sunday to make the Cheryl battle interesting

Not sure about Legend but Graceland has a 25th anniversary package and Ziggy Stardust a 40th anniversary version.

Regarding Legend I think its something to do with the Bob Marley movie.

I've had a look, and the only intresting ones are Cheryl, Emeli and Jay-Z/Kayne. None of them will top the charts.

Therefore, it's Flo vs. DJ Fresh!

You really think DJ Fresh is a more likely contender for #1 than Cheryl!?

I don't think it's down to Rudimental decreasing sharply, considering it's behind 2 new entries and another that might as well be a new entry with how much better it's doing this week than last. I think fun. were boosted back ahead by Big Brother as well. I think Rudimental will end up with strong sales for a #4/5/6 (wherever it ends up depending on the progress of DJ Fresh and Flo Rida).

I thought she'd left Syco?

I believe she's signed jointly with RCA and Syco. A bit like Matt Cardle with Syco/Columbia?

Thanks Pop B!tch/Suedehead. Interesting that these two classic albums were released about 15 years apart! Wasn't Graceland re-issued in the recent past and got back to #40?

From 30 October's commentary

Paul Simon’s Graceland album introduced many people to the westernised sounds of African artists although Peter Gabriel had been trying to do the same for several years. In Simon’s case it attracted some controversy as he worked with South African artists while the country was still under the apartheid regime. The album became Simon’s most successful with eight weeks at number one in 1986 and ’87. His solo career had been showing signs of flagging with his previous album peaking at number 34. Graceland has now been reissued with an extra track and it enters at number 40 this week.

Expect something akin to a revamped version on Sunday :D There will be some added info this time round.

Im really disapointed with Kylie's position, i had secretly convinced myself it would be top 10. I cant complain though as i havnt bought it myself as it offers nothing new and i said i would wait until the price drops. At the very least time bomb should have been it as it would have drawn a few more buyers.

Great sales for Gary and thoroughly deserved, i hope the album has great sales too. Really disappointed by the scissor sisters drop as i didnt see that coming at all,

I absolutely adore the Coldplay/Rihana track and wish it would go top 5.

Princess of china is giving mylo xyloto a huge sales lift which is great although i think carlie brown was a far greater track.
'Charlie Brown' was a total filler single, let's be honest.

I like it, but I do wish they'd have released Hurts Like Heaven or Major Minus instead :(

Ouch at Ladyhawke although it was expected.

Not by me - I thought after her great debut album, she'd get a T5 place easily. :(
