So I've just got back from my weekend away and just got round to listening to this after Lee sent me a text about it being "a superior 'White Lies'" and "better than 'All Fired Up'" or whatever... I was a bit dubious. But WOW. It sounds BRILLIANT from that clip. The HQ really couldn't come any sooner! LYRIC VIDEO, NOW, AT LEAST PLEASE?! It's like 'White Lies' and 'All Fired Up' mashed together. Fantastic. I'm definitely more relaxed about them getting success with this over here (still not sure on US as I don't know their market too well to judge) with this.

LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LISTEN TO ME.

I still think the song is pretty good, but (so far) not good enough to launch them in the US. It's radio friendly, catchy and fun but it seems more of a 3rd or 4th single from an album not a song supposed to launch them worldwide.

I don't see how you can say this having not heard the HQ version? I think it's perfect way to launch them worldwide, especially with Sean Paul on it, It's getting GREAT reviews from everyone who's heard the song! They should get a decent radio hit in America and this song is PERFECT for Capital & Radio1.

FEELS GOOD TO BE A SATURDAYS FAN! MERCURY ARE DOING GOOD!! I wonder if they decide to leave Polydor in the Uk they might go to Mercury?

Remember that DJ who said he would premiere the track in a club mid-August ? https://twitter.com/DJL33

Well, someone asked him about the track and he said it was "all about Sean Paul" and that it was "defo worth the wait". So I think the Sean Paul feature is going to help them a lot in the US, especially if it's apparently it's all about him.

Oh my god. How is that possible that every Saturdays songs get A-listed on Radio 1 only one week ? I just saw that Wings has been there for 7 weeks.

Damn, I wish they will do the same with What About Us. It's a shame, otherwise. -_-

Well, yes, they were on the "overall" playlist, but when you're on A-listed, your song get played more than the other songs on the "overall" playlist. Just check the last 7 radio 1 playlists (they are posted in the Uk chart forum) and you will see they have been A-listed for 7 weeks now.

Sorry, but the best The Saturdays can get is "C-B-B-A". And most of the time, the week they go on the A-list has not so much more plays than the week before when they were B-listed. People are always moaning that they always drop like a rock during the second week...well clearly if they get dropped from Radio 1's playlist the week after the release, they won't get much success, are they ?

No surprise they flop so much, they barely get airplay. Imagine what The Saturdays could do with that kind of airplay... Freaking A-listed for 7 weeks in a row. That would be amazing...Especially if Capital plays What About Us like they did with All Fired Up...

Any good videos of their club appearance last night?

Tons of positive reviews from last night

They did Notorious, What About Us and All Fired Up. They had one hour late, so the people were kind of pissed off a bit, you know... But apparently they did really well. People appreciated that they didn't use playback, and they sing quite very well, stuff like that. Some of them even met the girls after and said they were lovely, the most adorable girls, so gorgeous, etc.

So yeah, positive feedback !

I posted in the other thread about it, I was there last night up in the front, i have a clip of them doing Notorious and All Fired Up...do i have to upload it to youtube before I post it on here? They were really good and yeah they were late getting on the stage but I was so happy to be up front i didn't care, me and my friend wanted to meet them after but we had to catch a train, I'm just glad i finally got to see them in person!
The girls got interviewed by that Rosie and Sophia from the Ellen Show at the VMA's and on the Ellen show last week there was a recap of their interviews with the stars but they never showed The Sats. :( Sigh.
Their appearing in the new Billboard Magazine with an inteview etc!

What About Us in a more clear sound.

We can hear better the lyrics, but overall, I thought the other performances was better. You can't even hear Frankie and Mollie, and Rochelle is like ten times louder than everyone else. Una's part was a bit flat while on the other performance she was really good. Anyway, I still have really high expectations for that song. I just wish they would premiere it sooner...

Let me guess, we're predicting a November/December release for the UK, and January release for the US.
I'm not sure releasing in November/December in the UK would be a good move, especially after what happened with 'My Heart Takes Over'. However, if they finally got that X-Factor performance...

I think it's released in January in both territories. They won't be on XF this year, if ever so maybe we shouldn't dwell on that too much this year haha. Apparently (emphasis on apparently) the likes of Stooshe, Cover Drive and Lawson - among others who've been around over the last year/few months - are potentially performing on there this year though... which is annoying seeing as they've only been around five minutes but they both have albums to promote around the time of the live shows whereas The Sats won't. Lawson - and Cover Drive I think - are also signed to Global Talent so no surprise that they may be getting an appearance.

Anywaaaaay... no more XF talk from me. :P Great to see Darkchild involved in the new era. I like his work. I want a fierce R&B jam like Lose My Breath by Destiny's Child and a full on pop uptempo like Gaga's Telephone please! :D

I'm predicting a November première for both song and video with January release in UK.

Here are the things we know :

01. It's set for an early January release. That means either January 6 or January 13... Because I'm very desperate to hear it, let's go with January 6.

02. They usually premiere their song 6 weeks before the release. I think their last radio premieres were on the Chris Moyles'show, but he left right ? Anyway, it was on Friday as far as I remember.

03. So let's do the math. If it premieres 6 weeks before the January 6 on a Friday, then we're set on a November 23 radio premiere...which is still too far for me. -_-

04. Finally, let's pretend they are going to premiere it 8 weeks before the release...that would mean, we would got the radio premiere on November 9. That's fine with me, hehe.

The thing is a November/December UK release would mean they would go against the likes of Little Mix, Girls Aloud, maybe StooShe and MKS also...And somehow, these four will always have bigger promotion and airplay than The Saturdays...so it might not be a good idea.
