The melody is great. I love it... I'm just sad that the vocals are completely overproduced.

Thought the exact same Hurricane, the vocals seem to be way overproduced. Not a fan of the auto-tune but never the less it is an absolute beast of a song! :yahoo:

I didn't bother listening to the full versions of any of the live performances because of how poor quality they were, but listening to these remixes and the song sounds VERY promising! Sean Paul is of course completely unnecessary (so it's a good thing he's only on one of the remixes - despite the Buzz Junkies one being my favourite ), but other than that, this sounds like it'll be their best song since "Higher"! The arguments that I've read in here about dance routines are pretty stupid... As much as I've liked some of the girls' videos, their dancing is really poor and they must have realised by now that they DON'T need a dance for every song they release... I'd much rather they performed like Little Mix do/did on The X Factor and be choreographed to move around the stage rather than doing silly dance moves that nobody cares about for three and a half minutes. I do hope that one day the band do get a break, but if all their fans are worried about is chart positions and how much they dance during a performance, they don't really deserve it.

It's weird, because it starts really well! Vanessa and Rochelle sounds amazing...And then it got to that Frollie part where you kind of think "Alright...It's an effect like any other one I guess..." and then bam you hit the pre-chorus and chorus who sound slightly flat unlike the live version that really brings those to life...

The verses of Frankie and Mollie are quite overproduced also...

Una sounds the worst tho...How can you sound so flat in a studio recording?

The nanananana needs a lot of Mollie and Franki's higher tones. Really, these girls don't know how to use their voices.

Glad you like my mix guys - I'm really pleased with the outcome!

The best is obviously the one produced by OLMRemix, but no surprise here. I don't know if he would want to answer questions now that his has leaked like months before...but I really need to ask a few things. I thought the song was a bit moody/dark and all ? It actually sounds quite lighty and all and you said it wasn't ? Not that it is a problem, but maybe it's just your remix afterall.

Course you can.

The original studio version is a sexy moody pop track. Seems actually very dark when Rochelle comes in with "Whatcha doing to my head?". A moment where you wanna cry with frustration.. but then throw a load of glitter in the air. Personally, I'm not getting the whole "vocals are over-produced" thing. I feel the vocals are meant to feel sharp and pointy in places in contrast with some of the sexy lower tones the girls sing - Frankie and Mollie in particular.

My mix stays true to the original the most I think.

Well considering I completed the mix sometime in August, it's done well up to know for the package to be kept under wraps. However, the original version should be getting premiered in the next 4-6wks perhaps if they stick to the January release date.

This annoying guy that wrote the Billboard article can't stop saying this is getting released before in the UK. It annoys me, agr!

However, the song has clicked with me! It's just that the vocals aren't as clear in your remix OLMRemix. If you give a listen to the other two remixes, it sounds a clearer, but then it might be because the beat isn't as powerful as in your remix. Anyway, at the end of the day, yours is still the best.

Oh deffinately, the Buzz Junkies and Seamus guys have way more experience and have been doing this a lot longer than I have.
Buzz Junkies is my favourite one, which is a shame because that's the only one with Sean Paul's contribution. I would prefer it without it, like the other two mixes!

Well, your remix is still hell of a lot better! ;)

Although, I gotta say it helps me to like it more now that I know that the vocals won't be exactly like that in the studio version and that it would be more moody/dark. ^_^

Oh, I'm so excited again!

Oh, no the vocals are the same. I was just speaking about the mood of the single version.

I know that! :P But the studio version will definitely be in a higher quality. It's a bit like the chorus of Higher. I remember when I first heard the bad quality rip of it...I was standing there..."The f*** is that?", but when I bought the EP, it was very different. It was still autotuned, but it was just in a better quality and sound far better, although still a bit lifeless. I'm expecting the same for the studio version of What About Us. ^_^

I think I need to stop myself from listening to the Buzz-Junkies remix, because I fear I may prefer it to the actual single.

I wish I could listen to the 2nd adventure remix but haven't found anywhere wtih it as the original link doesn't work for me.

love yours 2ndA!

love them all to be fair, can't wait to hear the original. In view of this leak though, i'd bring the release forward a bit!

Is it just me that thinks they sound Jamaican on the verses??? Not feeling the "na na na na na"'s at all but I love the vocals on the chorus.

Can't wait for the original version now. :)

I hope the " Na, Na, Na, Na " have more life in them.

Sean Paul's verse is pointless. Una sounds like a robot.

Rochelle's final/deleted verse is AMAZING.

This track is all about Rochelle, and Frollie (but less than Roch). I swear that Rochelle bit in the middle-8 is life. Her chorus is also brilliant.

Then you got Mollie and Frankie who got the best verses (lyrically, at least) and the bit before the pre-chorus which is amazing.
