If thy don't bring the release forward then they're screwed.

Bit extreme. It's not that far away when you think about it, it's around 6-7 weeks from the official premiere, which is around normal. It just feels longer cause it leaked ages ago.

I meant the chance of a #1. Obviously 1D will reach #1 that week.

Unlikely since 1D release 1 month earlier! It's also lucky that Nicole Scherzinger isn't releasing the same week!

guys remember marron 5s payphone was released months before it was out on itunes and that got to #1...

Oh :) Then who's saying otherwise. Haha. I wonder if this could be #1. Oh man I really hope so.

Griff, how could you dislike What About Us when you've not bothered listening to the song?

I heard the first 30 seconds of the song once before today and I had to switch it off after that because it was too much for my ears. AWFUL.

I did hear What About Us today though and I've come to the conclusion that this is their worst song by far. At least I saw the appeal in Higher and All Fired Up but I just can't in this song. The vocals and the beats are particularly dreadful. I'm sorry to everyone who likes this song for not liking it, but I genuinely think that this is diabolical.

From now on, I will spend my days TROLLING the Saturdays loons and laughing in their faces when What About Us flops**.

*hopefully if the public have any sense

*that was also a joke, I will pray for these fans though :kink:

It won't flop :P

^^Good for you! :D

...To me the term diabolical refers to the Scream & Shout remix.

I don't get how it was too much for your ears, the song is almost as FAB as me. VERY.

If you think What About Us is their worst song, what do you think of If This Is Love etc?

I don't think What About Us will flop, it will obviously go top 10!

People are so harsh on 'If This Is Love', including the girls themselves, it's one of my favourites! :(

 :kink:

I actually like If This Is Love! I'll give them credit for having a good pop album in their back catalogue in the form of Chasing Lights. But it all went downhill after that... :(

WHY DO YOU LIKE THE SHIT SONGS?

LISTEN TO ALL OF IT!

I actually think if this is love is a cringe but it was their first song and made me fall in love whit them! Also I think they have done well, I love Issues, Higher and All Fired Up - A ballad, Pop song and Dancey number so they have experimented and it has worked out so well!

Sorry, that performance barely improves the quality of the song for me.

I know this is coming from a fan of the girls but I don't see anything wrong with the first 30 seconds of the song. I actually think it's one of their best releases (probably just behind Higher, Ego, Up and All Fired Up) and there's SO many hooks to it. The Jamaican accent, the fantastic melody on the second "suffocating" line, the instrumental behind the build up and Una's "what about us?" line then the insanely catchy hook "na na na".

Even if this flops in the US, things might change with the second single. Olly Murs *only* went to #96 with Heart Skips A Beat and that was after touring with One Direction and having alot of big promo and now 'Troublemaker' is in the iTunes top 40 and doing really well.

I thought the song was okay when I first heard it. I didn't think it was a great choice for a first single (I still don't) mainly because I didn't find it catchy the first time I heard it. In no way do these examples compare, but I think about girl bands who's first single were catchy like "Wannabe" by Spice Girls or "Don't Cha" by PCD. But I really like the song now & play it all the time. That being said I agree with you with the Olly Murs point you brought up. There's always a next single if it doesn't take off in the coming months.

I agree with all of this.

OH WHY ARE WE WAITIN SO LONG IM SUFFOCATIN :yahoo:

Wait.........and why do we care though?

I really loved 'If This Is Love'! :drama: From the very first time I heard it on Girls Aloud's tour.

Over the years they've obviously come up with many better tracks, but it still has a special place in my heart. It's how it all began.
