July 30, 201212 yr According to MuseLive the lead single will be "Madness": NME SAYS: The next single (released early August). An electronic cross between 'I Want To Break Free' and 'Faith'. "You've had a fight with your girlfriend and she goes off to her mum's house for the day and you're on your own going: "What did I say?"" says Matt, describing the song's inspiration. "I'm sure a lot of blokes have that experience in the early stages of relationships where you go: "Yeah, she's right, isn't she?". MUSELIVE SAYS: No, we're not sure what to make of any of this either. Oh and according to Wiki this is the album cover. Hmmm. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/35/Muse_2nd_law.jpg
July 31, 201212 yr I'm hoping there's not much Queen on The 2nd Law but I think I'll be disappointed.
August 3, 201212 yr Album is now out Oct 1st. Thank goodness now they're a certain #1. As are The Killers :D
August 4, 201212 yr Album is now out Oct 1st. Thank goodness now they're a certain #1. I'm slightly disappointed in this because I was looking forward to that Muse vs. The Killers battle, but if that means both will now be #1 then that's great. Poor P!nk is still not gonna get a #1 though :P
August 10, 201212 yr "Unsustainable" has been revealed in full. DhKVych80ME Not quite as brilliant as the preview suggested but then again the trailer was just the first half of the song. "Madness" out 20th of August.
August 20, 201212 yr It's DULL AS. So disappointing, there's no way I'm buying the album now as I've not liked any of the tracks so far.
August 20, 201212 yr I LOVE the video and concept, but I'm less than enthusiastic about the dubstep parts. I'm getting more and more scared this album's gonna let me down :(
August 20, 201212 yr That's not the single... this is: (listen while you can, it's bound to be taken down soon)
August 20, 201212 yr Lyric video, since it's been premiered properly now: Mq9zhpBweDk&feature=player_embedded On first listen it's certainly different... I prefer "Survival" for now but I really wasn't sold on that on first listen so fingers crossed this grows. The album at least sounds as if it's going to be more stripped back, diverse and marginally less pretentious than its predecessor which can only be good!
August 20, 201212 yr I like it, its certainly different but its very interesting and sounds rather unique to me. I think it'll be a grower to!
August 20, 201212 yr I really like it, not totally aware of their previous stuff so no idea how different it is to it.
August 20, 201212 yr Madness sounds a lot more subdued than the other two. I'm not entirely sure, but I think I quite like it...
August 20, 201212 yr Author They've really gone to shit. Not my thing whatsoever. But then again I didn't really like 'The Resistance' either. Not saying that really relates as this is vastly different, but maybe I'm just 'over' them as a band now haha.
August 20, 201212 yr Oh God Madness is appalling!! It sounds like a really bad Queen track from the 80s. You know, the kind that was tucked away on Hot Space. Really slammed my anticipation through the floor, and I was excited after Unsustainable :(
August 20, 201212 yr Hated Unsustainable but actually like this! Had quite a few listens and has really grown on me now.
August 21, 201212 yr Madness reminds me of The Love of Richard Nixon in that it's the work of a band that has completely lost it's edge. It's fine to polish your sound up and try different genres but to do so at the expense of what made you special in the first place is misguided. That could be a song by Hurts.
