Robbie Williams puts wild days behind him as he gushes about his kids http://dailym.ai/299psR1 via @DailyMailCeleb

This shoot is from December last year but the article is new today.

I am lost here, it says he will tour Australia in October, did not tour there last year

Someone asked him that on Upfront a couple of days ago - he said they had discussed some promo in Oz for this new album coming up but nothing definite had been decided yet.

I do get the impression this new album will be released earlier than normal. September/October as opposed to November/December.

Does the timing make a difference Laura .

Not to me

but possibly by releasing earlier - could he get more sales? Sales when he first releases and then more in the lead up to Christmas? What do you think Tess? Sales for albums are so low now - it is time to think of other ways to promote - especially for older artists.

Although maybe the downside is - all the big promo shows like XF/Strictly are on immediately before Christmas. I guess it depends where he is going to promote it. If it includes Europe and Australia, he's got to get round all these places. He did say he would be really busy though, so maybe that is exactly what he's going to be doing.

What about all those Eastern European countries he's been courting? They must be in the plan too somewhere. :???:

I think the Eastern European market will feature big time in his next tour, he has tested the waters with great responses so I am sure it will be in the plan. Not sure about the sales thing Laura. David Gilmour ( Ex Pink Floyd ) released an album last year that went straight to No 1 in several countries including the UK & his tour has sold brilliantly , that was only his sedong solo album though in may years so it was bound to do well. Robbie will have no difficulty selling tour tickets , people will always want to go see him but not sure abiut the album , but I will buy it :)

Yes I have no doubt it will be easier for him to sell tour tickets than albums. Hopefully he can sell both. :)

I think the Eastern European thing will be successful for him. He seems to be enjoying Russia especially. I just wish he would return to South America. They've waited for him there for such a long time. Since 2009 he's re-connected with everywhere else bar there and South Africa I think.

He gets a lot of Media coverage even through the time when he was not due to bring an album out in Germany, Austria or the Netherlands and in the East Eurpean countries where he seems to be far more popular than bigger stars of the minute.

The last weeks there are at least two reports - always positive - in the cdelebrity news in Germany and Holland also due to the Ayda thing on Instagram.

There is an unbroken love for him in Europe sans the UK.

How many albums will be sold due to this, I do not know.

I think that the hugest challenge is the UK. The music market is not that 'faithful' to artists which have been huge, but have still not achieved the legen status like members of Pink Floyd. And the tecket thing is not that easy too there. I read that Rihanna did sing in front of an half empty Wembley stadium last week and she is one of the hugest artists (I think :-) )I hope he will get a no 1 album and some nice doing singles, a huge tour, but most of all I hope that the music is as good as I hope it will be.

I could imagine the first single out end of August/beginning September as I read he will go to LA again, (I guess in August). the album might follow in October.

TT will bring their album out due to the talent show and Christmas and as there is still a huge fanbase they share I do not think that they will challenge the wallet of them twice in the same months. I am really looking forward for his moves and somehow I think he has a lot up his sleeves. His team was always inventive.

You think the timing of the album is TT related then Elisabeth , I had forgotten about that .

He does seem to have a good team around him these days , exciting times ahead

Now he has a new record label behind him I think he will feel he has a lot to prove to them. I'm expecting him to be working his socks off for this new album to make it a success and an international success at that. After three years away he will be hungry for it I think.

Also expecting a huge tour announcement some time in the autumn.

I am looking forward to going to see Robbie next year if he tours then

Chatter on Upfront that the new album is to be "finished" by September 12th.

No word on release date though.

:w00t: I would love a really strong ballad as an opener but I doubt it will be that simple...

I've got a feeling this one will be up tempo.

the ballad will be released nearer to Christmas I assume

For a change I think it would be great as a lead off single

I still cannot get over how popular Candy was though
