June 10, 201213 yr It will get to number 1 but im estimating first week sales between 80-90k. Its not actually that good but given its a calvin harris penned track and massive airplay, it will do ok but doesnt deserve to.
June 10, 201213 yr She only needs to beat "Hot Right Now"'s 127,998 sales to become the fastest-selling single of the year as Gary Barlow's sales are from his second week, which I think is quite realistic. I picked the 100-125k band too - and glad I'm not the only one who draws attention to the difference between 'first week sales' & 'highest weekly sales'. I predict 144k. C'mon guys, this is the comeback 'nation's sweetheart' I thought that title had passed from Vera Lynn to Katherine Jenkins? :)
June 10, 201213 yr 125-150k. It's had similar hype to Tulisa's Young, and because it's Cheryl her first week sales are going to be bigger. Probably selling 135k in the first week, I'll be surprised if it does more than Promise This as she had the X Factor promo back then.
June 10, 201213 yr What ppl are failing to notice is that this song has had more airplay than Promise This. And to my knowledge, the only diff btn Cheryl now and then is that she's not on our screens on Saturday night. But, she's still always on the radio and in the news.
June 10, 201213 yr Where have you found that out from? :o http://digitalsalesdata.com/diydsd.php?Region=143444
June 10, 201213 yr http://digitalsalesdata.com/diydsd.php?Region=143444 They're not actual sales though just estimates.
June 10, 201213 yr Where have you found that out from? :o it's all over Twitter, doesn't surprise me to be honest considering the EP was #1 as soon as it became available on iTunes and the single got to #1 in 11 hours.
June 10, 201213 yr it's all over Twitter, doesn't surprise me to be honest considering the EP was #1 as soon as it became available on iTunes and the single got to #1 in 11 hours. As far as I can tell the guy who tweeted it isn't giving a source he's the owner of an entertainment website with a spcial Cheryl Cole section (i.e he appears to be a fan). I'm not casting doubt but he probably got the info from the digital sales section that we know is an estimate. There isn't anyway of knowing that as only the OCC would know, even the record company wouldn't know until Tuesday how she was selling.
June 10, 201213 yr It will COMFORTABLY be the biggest opener of the year. I'm gonna hazard a guess at 145k, though I really think it COULD go up to the 170k mark with how quickly it got to #1 on iTunes, and how much I think Whistle is likely to sell!
June 10, 201213 yr They're not actual sales though just estimates. That's why A Million Lights wrote 50k, not a 50,001, or 49,999 ;)
June 10, 201213 yr That's why A Million Lights wrote 50k, not a 50,001, or 49,999 ;) What I'm saying is that there is nothing to say that it is ANYTHING like 50k! It may be, or it might not hence an estimate which might be FAR from the truth
