And I do think you shall be eating back at your own words. There is no way Cheryl will not go #1 with the amount of exposure she had prior to releasing this single officially.

But it's been to long between the first play and the release date. Everybody already has this song...

How about Promise This? How does that compare to Call My Name at this point?
Nearly every UK artist wait 6 to 8 weeks after first play to bring there single out it doesn't stop them getting number one?
Call My Name UP to # 15

I wouldn't be surprised if Flo Rida actually keeps Cheryl from going #1.

It's not impossible I suppose, but the 80-90k he will have 'wasted' at #2 is likely to hurt his chances badly.

Like, it's hurting the downloads, because people are going on iTunes, seeing a DJ Fresh/Dizzee collab in the top 10, and thinking "SURELY, I must already have this song".

I miss being able to make 'all rap sounds the same' jokes myself... ;)

Call My Name out in 5 minutes ... It's gonna be quite an achievement to overtake Flo Rida, his lead is huge !

But is it, really? I suspect Barlow & Rudimental are now selling at the equivalent rate of maybe 50k/wk now, and even if Flo is double that, his selling rate is unlikely to increase now that the frontloading period is ending. I can see Cheryl managing 100k comfortably enough - perhaps significantly more.

If it looks very close late in the week, I might just buy Cheryl's song to try & thwart him. :P

On a related subject, I see Fight For This Love is around #350 this morning - that equates to roughly 900/wk, so should accelerate it towards the 1m mark...

Urgh clearly flo Rida and Cheryl will make up the top 2 do we really need this irrelevant argument of who will be #1 at the moment?

Perhaps a tedious argument, but hardly *irrelevant*, given that this is a charts forum. :)

May I ask what you are even doing here?

So, Promise This was number 1 by 2.45pm and that was catching up to Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are, which had a lead not dissimilar to Flo Rida's at the moment (and probably sales to match). It's only a guide but it gives an idea of how the song might be performing. At this rate, I think she'll be number 2 by lunchtime, it's bridging that massive gap that will take a while.
Cheryl UP to #2

OH MY GOD !

I was just about to say I was kinda disappointed in the way she wasn't climbing like a MONSTER HIT but now THAT IS more like it !

#2 at 10 in the morning has made my day ! :cheer: :cheer:

IMPRESSIVE.

I have a question regarding the popularity. It says the popularity is estimated because data aren't available anymore. If that's the case, how do we know Flo Rida has a huge lead ??
