Posted June 11, 201213 yr Cheryl could be number 1 this week with Call My Name (fingers crossed)... That would be her third "first single" in a row to be number one, after "Fight for this love" (for "3 words") and "Promise this" (for "Messy little raindrops"). I was wondering if you had a list of female acts with most (consecutive or not) number 1 "first singles" in the UK ? I guess Madonna and such have had plenty, so it would be interesting to see that list. And do you have a list of female acts with most number 1 albums in the UK as well ? Thanks to all the chart geeks who will help :) Edited June 11, 201213 yr by Hayzayy
June 11, 201213 yr The first one that comes to my mind is Kylie: I Should Be So Lucky - Kylie Hand On Your Heart - Enjoy Yourself Spinning Around - Light Years Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Fever Slow - Body Language I suppose All The Lovers could have been added to this if the digital and physical release weren't a a week apart :(
June 11, 201213 yr Another thread created to show off Cheryl's stats. Her achievements are nothing compared to the biggest female names of all time - Madonna, Kylie etc... How about listing first singles (from the album) to go to #1 written by the artists. That's what I call an achievement!

How about listing first singles (from the album) to go to #1 written by the artists. That's what I call an achievement! Oh come on, don't see the devil everywhere. Of course I'm doing this request in the light of this week's chart battle. I know that Cheryl's career isn't in the higher league of Madonna's or Kylie's career AT ALL. I'm just genuinely interested in these "chart facts" to see where she ranks, no need to look more into it than what it is... And thank you leonafan for your answer. :)

June 11, 201213 yr Author ANYWAY, that's not really the topic of this thread... You're welcome to discuss Cheryl's writing credits in the GA forum though, we don't see you much around there. :)
June 11, 201213 yr which didn't go #1 soz "Slow" became a number one in the UK, it only sold 43,000 copies, her lowest-selling number-one single in the UK and to date is one of the lowest-selling number-one singles in UK chart history second only to George Michael's "Faith" Of course having an no.1 is a big achievement, but saying that Cheryl's achievement ,,are nothing compared to the biggest female names of all time'' because Kylie co-wrote ,,43k smash hit'' comparing to Cheryl 38k ,,humiliating flop'' is a not funny joke.

June 11, 201213 yr On topic anyway, madonna had 5 lead single no 1's. Like a prayer, vogue, frozen, american pie, and hung up.

June 11, 201213 yr Oh bad me. Yes, make that 6. Can we make it 7 with Who's That Girl? Edited June 11, 201213 yr by MTV79
June 11, 201213 yr Can we make it 7 with Who's That Girl? :D depends how generous you want to be. I think officially it's classed as a soundtrack and not a solo album.
June 11, 201213 yr I know others have done better, but Rihanna has also had 3 first singles going to number one; Umbrella (I'm only assuming this was the first single, I don't know for sure); Only Girl; and We Found Love. Edited June 11, 201213 yr by biophiliac.
