And this is the only time in the group stages I'm not fully cheering for an England win as I like Sweden too, but seeing us reequalise like that was amazing! Great game!

Fantastic second half from both sides, the most animated I've seen England in a long time.

This really is a very entertaining match, even if you do spend the entire time convinced England are going to have a sloppy 5 seconds, make a huge f***-up, and let a silly goal in (I still think this match will end 3-3).

What a game 4 goals in the second half, should have been 3-1 to England one was a terrible mistake. PHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a fantastic game. Shame to see Sweden out (:() but England are now in a very strong position and that was the best game of football I've seen in ages.

 

So bloody invigorated by that it's unreal. :D

Well, that was a bit of a rollercoaster! I was despairing when Sweden got ahead of us, but thank God for Walcott is all I can say! :lol: Very good game overall, from both sides

The emotions I went through in that game.. that's why I love football so much!

 

Another fantastic thing is the fact that you don't know who Rooney would come in for right now!

What a BLOODY shambles. This is why I don't watch sport regularly.

That sums up the game quite nicely. A 50:50 mix of absolute shambles and quality, subtly blended with a bit of luck and stirred for 90 minutes.

Indeed. Both England and myself were having an incredibly bipolar evening.

The 2nd half was great entertainment with the perfect result in the end! :wub:

Think a few changes need to be made for the next match

 

Parker desperately needs a rest, Young hasn't been great in either match and we don't really need Milner as a defensive option vs. Ukraine

 

and the Carroll vs. Welbeck issue. I think Carroll was better overall, but I can see Hodgson going with Welbeck due to his club partnership with Rooney

THE OLOF. Love him, get him back in the Prem :lol: Good win for England anyway, you'd think they will go through now, unless Ukraine can pull out another big performance like they managed vs Sweden.

England were absolutely appalling tonight, they were lucky with Walcott scoring a second goal 2 minutes after coming on, and even luckier with Welbeck's. They didn't deserve to win, but obviously my patriotic side is pleased that they've got more chance of progressing further. They'll only be embarrassed by Spain though.

Our defence was atrocious. Really needs to be tighter. Johnson made some absolutely crucial tackles at certain points. Some great goals, dodgy defending. Pleasing for Hodgson that he changed the game with his substitutions. Quite a bit to work on, but we played open so no real surprise it was 3-2.

One of the most entertaining England matches for years, actually enjoyed watching them for a change. That win's eased some of the pressure on us to get a result against Ukraine as well.
