Digital Spy is reporting that it will be available in the UK on September 9th. However, that seems more like the date it would have been before the album release date was changed to 20th August. So I would expect a release of 12th August!

9th September is the release date on iTunes too

If it is released on the 12th August, my prediction is it will reach No.2, behind Rita Ora.

I think that would be the biggest chart injustice of the year for me if that happened.

Carly Rae Jepsen has just confirmed that you can pre-order 'Good Time' on UK iTunes for a September 9th release!

Surely this is going to be pointless with Owl City's album being released on August 20th which everyone will download it from?

Exactly what I was thinking. I can't wait to get this song, love it so much!
Well this IS the UK, it would practically against the law for a held back international hit to have a reasonable release date!

It's gonna be close, it is a no.1 contender though. But guess who's the opponent that week......

I don't think there is a big release on the week commencing August 19th is there? I don't know the extent of the Sam & The Womp hype which could be a contender I guess but I can't see The Script challenging for more than a top 5. I think they could have a chance depending if people realise it can be downloaded from Owl City's album, unless it's made 'album only' of course.

Ah, I see. If it did come out on 9th Sep, the Tulisa track would have been it's rival. But because the album is coming out first, it seems that Good Time would peak before Sep 9th.

I see what you meant now! Yes, Tulisa would have been a very tough rival to beat but hopefully it will peak before that like you say!

I would imagine it'll be a big hit regardless, I'm not quite sure it will actually peak at #1 but it might be a mini Moves Like Jagger and stick in the top 3 for a while and actually surpass most/all of the #1s that beat it. I'm pretty sure Sam & The Womp will be #1 on the week the album comes out, but then as you say it could be album only so it might be down to Tulisa vs. Owl/Carly, and they could perhaps win that one. Tulisa's song is awful and seems to be getting bad reception, but she is a big star so...
I'd rather anything hit No. 1 other than Sam & the Womp, absolutely terrible song they have. I think Good Time has No. 1 potential although it might just miss out, depends if it peaks on the album release or the single release.
Strange, perhaps it'll be album only?
Just heard this song. Its no way near as good as "call me maybe". Pretty average. It will do ok though on the back of the popularity of her first hit. Top 5.
I don't know if someone mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I didn't realise Adam (Owl City) and Carly are the same age! :o I couldn't believe it!

Well, the album's out, so anyone else got it, or is it just me? - probably is.

The collaborations on the album are obviously the highlights (Good Time and Dementia), but Speed Of Love is also rather nice, Silhoeutte reminds me of Lonely Lullaby - not a bad thing at all - Dreams And Disasters is a nice dance-y opening track and Bombshell Blonde is about as crazy as you're gonna get Owl City - really a *.* moment I was not expecting.

Fortunately the rocky tracks from the Shooting Star EP are the rockiest things on the album; that doesn't suit him really. It's not as good or coherent - there's a huge mismash of genres - as All Things Bright And Beautiful and Ocean Eyes but it's a decent effort.

I suppose it'll sell well on the hype of Good Time - there's not really anything else close to it on the album though.

I'm listening to it now, it's decent but he's more or less a one trick pony, I keep feeling like I'm listening to any other album of his. His voice can grate over a whole album too. That said, Good Time is one of my favourite songs of the year!

Hmm, I do think it has some similarities with his last album but it sounds very little like Ocean Eyes or anything before that, he was far more dreamy-electronic back then. I agree about his voice grating, it does a little on this one, a bit more than his past ones - particularly on a few of the more uptempo tracks. :(
I will give it a listen later, I never really bothered with All Things Bright And Beautiful (just gave it one or two listens and it left me cold to be honest) but I did grow to love Ocean Eyes, and I like everything that I've heard so far. Bombshell Blonde is really good, I gave it a listen when it leaked the other day!
