Hmms sounds very good but not as spafftastic as Popjustice had us believing... Still, very much looking forward to the HQ!

She sounds a bit bored (especially given the title) and it's nothing outstanding but it's catchy and I like it. Nowhere near as good as 'Wings' though.

I agree with this, bar the last bit. I think I prefer this to Wings. :P

Home Run >>>>>>>>>>>>>> You Bring Me Joy >>>>>>>>> Wings >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Seven Nation Army :puke2:

I really like that! It's a lot more instant than "Wings", and I think I'll definitely prefer it in the long run. I'm pleased it's not lite pop/rock like I expected from her later performances on The X, but I think it suits her a lot!
It's decent enough. Nowhere near the level that Poopjustice hyped it up to be though. (But I knew it wouldn't be THAT good) Hopefully it'll grow. I like it, but I don't know if I want it as a single...
I just don't see the song setting the charts alight, the chorus is great but the rest of the song is a let down.
I really like it and I think it will be a grower too! I don't know if I would like another minute of it though, I quite like it in a snappy sub-3 minute song.
So disappointed. Really dull and empty and her vocals sound bored and lifeless. Hopefully it will grow which it probably will :D
Her vocals are v forced she looks about 30. sounds like something AATW would put out.

Popjustice clearly lied then. :D

Reading their review, it's as if Amelia Lily has gone and outdone 'Bad Romance' or 'We Found Love' for sheer pop brilliance. What we're left with is an ok pop song but the chorus lacks energy and therefore seems flat. To me, the chorus sounds more like a middle 8 or bridge - I'd have expected the chorus to build more and just generally be a lot bigger than what it is.

I agree with Jáhq. 'Wings' is better.

Oh, pretty disapointed :/

It's quite good but the way Popjustice went on you'd think she'd gone and done something iconic of Like A Prayer status, but it fell so short of what it was hyped up to be! That's not to say it isn't good, but PopJustice are probably hindering my enjoyment to an extent. Could be a grower, but it will NEVER be up there with Bad Romance etc. like Popjustice seem to think it is...

I don't know why people who read the Popjustice review are underwhelmed by this, I wouldn't say he was overhyping it or comparing it to an all time classic at all. If anything, he was saying how it's refreshing for a new act to come out with something with a straightforward pop song with no cheap crowd pleasing bells and whistles. I pretty much expected what I heard after reading it.

I like this a lot more than I expected, she has something of Nadine Coyle/Cheryl Cole/Kelly Clarkson to her voice - a bit of a simple mix, but a pleasant enough one on this sort of song. I can see myself enjoying this for a while.

I did say that Popjustice should never be trusted  I don't actually think this is bad, it has potential, but I agree that she sounds bored and it feels very lazy and mashed together. I never really rated her on the show nor thought she was anything special, so I'm not really surprised with this
Trust Buzzjack to SHIT THEMSELVES over this total nobody. If the song is any good it'll be thanks to Xenomania, not Ms Personality Void 2011.

Thank you! And we should learn to not trust Popjustice by now. They always hype everything up far more than it deserves.

This is just so flat and dull :( Really goes nowhere .... reminds me of '30 Days' in that respect, nice enough but has a distinct 'this'll do won't it?' vibe about it.
Hmmm... not too sure, bit patchy in places, I was expecting something Avril Lavigne-ish or Kelly Clarkson-ish sound to her, a power rock ballad would have been more suited for her. She was my favourite act from last's year X Factor.
I didn't like Amelia on the show (I never thought she was good enough to make the live shows - she was good at shouting at best), but despite that I was looking forward to her material. This is a bit disappointing because as people say, she does sound quite bored and it's quite lacklustre and non-eventful. It reminds me very much of Xenomania's other foray into the pop world outside of Girls Aloud (and Mini Viva) - Alex Gardner, and as much as I liked him 'I'm Not Mad' also suffered from a monotonous chorus over a synthy dance beat and look where that got HIM.
I think this is a really good song, it's pretty catchy and seems more of grower! I did rather like Amelia on The X Factor.
