Yes, Republicans do have notoriously terrible music taste, don't they?

Goes in tow with their intelligence levels I feel.

I would have said Figure 8 should be next myself :P Either way though, those two should be singles two and three.
And she's also the type of singer that parents would actively encourage their children to like, since she's seen as a good role model. Her music also has appeal to adults aswell (well, some of her songs).

I don't think politics really has to come into it, I'm a huge fan but I certainly wouldn't be a republican!

But I do agree with Eric's above point about her being a good role model, she doesn't feel the need to swear in her songs (instead some of her lyrics are more tongue-in-cheek) and she isn't presented in the same sexual manner as the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry etc. That along with nailing the pop/country crossover which has broad appeal (teen girls to older adults).

Politics doesn't really come into it, it's not like people actually base their liking of her on which party they are aligned to, but there are certain things that appeal to certain types of people and Taylor does have huge appeal to conservatives, who tend to be Republicans.

Was Taylor Swift briefly deleted from iTunes?

She was MUCH further ahead earlier, and everyone else seems to have doubled their sales.

Ah so 1D opened at #1 on Digital Songs with 341k, we all thought Billboard were underestimating a lot earlier on in the week. Taylor sold 312k and Adele did 261k in her few days on sale.

Something strange happened to Taylor on UK iTunes earlier too, and another iTunes store I think - maybe some kind of glitch?

I think it must have been an iTunes glitch as she dropped back down to #27 in the United Kingdom before climbing back to #15. Looking likely Taylor's going to get a fourth top 10 hit from this album already! Massive achievement! I'm delighted with the progression it sounds like Taylor has made with this album. WANEGBT may be my favourite song of 2012.

01. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble 100%

02. Adele - Skyfall 55%

07. Taylor Swift - Red

08. Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

11. One Direction - Live While We're Young

16. Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You

18. Taylor Swift - Begin Again

24. Bruno Mars - Locked Out Of Heaven

27. Flo Rida - I Cry

28. Ed Sheeran - The A Team

36. Christina Aguleria - Your Body

90. Taylor Swift - Ronan

96. Ellie Goulding - My Blood

Anything Could Happen  #65 :D

YAY for CalFlo. Could this do better than 'Feel So Close'?

(I see they are doing the sensible thing and skipping WBCB, it is my favourite of his singles this era but would do absolutely nothing in the USA).

 03. Maroon 5

 04. Adele

 16. Calvin Harris/Florence Welch

 50. Ellie Goulding

Is this the first time Taylor has stayed at #1 all week with a promo single? Looks like she'll be knocking herself off.

I was wondering the same.

Really surprised to see Taylor Swift still top, incredible that she's going to get another top 10 billboard hit, this album campaign is going to be great!

03. Kesha - Die Young

08. Rihanna - Diamonds

12. Calvin Harris & Florence Welsh - Sweet Nothing

48. Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen

65. Kelly Clarkson - Catch My Breath
