It may be a little early BUT they've just updated their cover photo on facebook with an AWESOME banner (see above)! I am ridiculously excited for it. Season 2 was fantastic in character development and action, even though I think I preferred season 1 as a whole but the highs in the 2nd season were better than those in the first, imo. I also believe there are some images going around, of the prison scenes! Will try and find them and post them in here.

The series 2 finale literally had me terrified at points, I'm so excited. The whole prison perspective looks like this season could be great, plus it has a bigger episode order :D
Just finished watching the finale of Season 2! :o Absolutely incredible. Roll on the next 3 months!

Wow. All types of amazingness just from that trailer. Looks so much better than Season 2 already. (I loved that too obviously, but thought it was slow at times) I hope they haven't given too much away though! But it's done it's job and got me even more ridiculously excited for the show. This is one of just a few shows where the director and everyone else involved seems to know exactly what to give to their fans! I can see this season smashing all sorts of records, again.
OH MY GOD THAT ENDING

I'm just hoping terrestrial tv viewers still get to see next series 3 (season 2 has been getting pretty poor viewing figures this time around on Channel 5). Luckily we've now got FX but not everyone has what (in this day and age when we're 'all in it together') is so lucky.

Holy crap. f*** Dexter. THIS is the show to look forward to the most *.*

Just a few days to go! :cheer:
Just 0 days to go!

It was an amazing episode. Better than half of Season 2. Comic book fans will be pleased too.

Watch out for the SEASON trailer at the end of the episode it's very exciting!

Everyone seems to be pleased with it - and it had apparently nearly 11 million viewers (over 7 million in the crucial 18 - 49 bracket). Those beggars on the TWD on IMDb are a hard crowd to please though!

Can't wait to see it this Friday - someone gave me a link to stream but I've decided to wait until Friday night and enjoy it with a glass or two of wine and some choccies!

Yep. In the us tv discussion thread, its been breaking records! It's success is always amazing to see. I think its because it's rare to see a show, that deserves the success and critical acclaims it gets. Such a brilliant (albeit slow in parts - but sometimes its needed) tv show. It helps that the guy who did the comic books is so heavily involved in the tv show.

I can't wait to hear this

smutty/dirty flirty talk between Carol and Daryl is

.

Well I can wait - but I am looking forward to it! Not that I want anything to develop between the two but a promise of a bit of hanky panky amidst the ZA would be nice!

The people who give the show stick are largely the comic book fans. There needs to be pacing and character development. A TV show just about zombies would not last very long. There were some slow parts, but they're needed and anyone who watches AMC dramas should know that. The slow parts in the episode were there for a much larger purpose this episode anyhow.

So tense towards the end, and what an ending. I was more shocked at the ending, than what happened before (could see it coming!).

This episode was brilliant! The whole pacing of the episode was perfect. There was never a dull moment for me, I haven't felt like that for an episode since the first season! Excellent stuff. The ending was intense! Loved the riot police zombie things.

Please, there was no further 'character development' for Shane in Season 2, he should have been killed off during the first half. I also think they should have stayed in the farm less, but I understand why they'd keep the best part for the season finale. As a fan of the comics I don't really have a problem with the changes in the story so far, but as much as I try I don't feel for the added characters (T-Dog and Daryl).

I also remember reading that the prison cost so much to make that they'll probably split the arc into 2 seasons to make it up, so expect many slow parts. Thankfully, it's my favourite part in the comics so I'll enjoy it.

The reason they were in the farm so much was because AMC cut the budget for the 2nd season. They had near enough the same budget for the 1st season, but with 7/8 extra episodes! I think they've upped the budget for the 3rd season so location costs shouldn't do too much of an issue. I fully expect them to be in the prison for the whole season.

Wow, loved it, I found the ending of episode 1 very scary. Great opening episode.

Me too! I'm standing my ground on the TWD board on IMDb - my god there are some trolls over there! Fabulous opener (although I do agree with the 'why did they take Hershell in deeper into the prison with them' argument).

I'm actually feeling a bit sorry for Lori as well now!
