I think the song is proving to be staying a bit, much more than what Judas or Born This Way was capable of after the initial hype died down surrounding Gaga. Granted yes this time the video premiered a week after the song and in the US the VMAs happened but I've heard a lot of people stating how it's a grower and not as instant as some of her previous materials.

Things on iTunes are looking great also! :bounce: Currently #8 in the UK, catching DJ Fresh at #7 who seems to be in freefall and Rizzle Kicks at #6 who seems to be frontloaded, so 'Applause' could possibly be as high as #6 anytime soon! And she's #3 on US iTunes behind Miley's newie which is decreasing at a "comical" rate.

So it's soon to be a Katy-GaGA battle again?

 

All of her songs rose to no.1, so Kath was right all along!

 

Another slow-burner of a song, it just gave us all a shock, but nearly all GaGa's songs have done this to some degree.

 

#7 now, only song in green in the top 10, all of the rest of the top 7 in red/ dark red.

 

 

It will never be a Katy vs. Gaga battle in the US because Gaga has lost that ages ago. Let's just be happy if Gaga reaches Top 3 in the Billboard Hot 100 instead.

She's IN THE UK RIGHT NOW!!

 

ANDD when the VMAs are over, we have V Festival in a week where she'll be headlining! How's that for publicity!

Great to see it climbing in the UK again. Doubt it will get much higher but it's doing decently for a completely oa/os song.

 

Also it climbs to #4 on the Billboard chart this week! Her 9th top 5 there :cheer:

 

(and not to be a killjoy but some people are being turned away from the thread because it goes into severe loon mode at times :lol:. So just a heads up to cool it sometimes and keep stuff on topic/relevant if possible (AS EXCITING AS IT ALL IS))
