I was just listening to the Purity Ring Remix, and I still think it's infinitely better than the original. It still sounds so fresh compared to it! I think it might've been a bigger hit if she released the remix as the official single version.

I think the remixes are atrocious too and would have made things worse.

Applause is really underrated. Easily one of her best singles if not the best. The original's beat is so hypnotising, have you guys heard it just as an instrumental? You really don't appreciate the song's production until you do!! :cheer:

I'm not saying this as a detractor as I do actually like her (perhaps not as much as I once did), but outside the little monsters she is generally seen as a laughing stock at the moment.

 

'Venus' is essentially a novelty song, as much as I do kind of enjoy it too.
