Apparently Gaga is releasing her new single in August!?!?!?!?! :w00t: Not sure if it's true yet, but Twitter seems to suggest it is!

 

It will probably enter at #3 though with a Friday release date <_<

I'm delighted to see Conor Maynard stalling at #2 and hope 'Vegas Girl' doesn't gain too much on 'Spectrum'.

 

With Now! 82 now in the shops, I wonder if this will have a positive knock on effect on the album charts. Ie; people might buy Now! 82 and another album whilst they're in the store so ultimately album sales may not be too terrible this week.

This is bad time for the music industry. I have made some predictions, and I believe that between now and October, we'll have only 5 no.1's

 

Florence = 3 weeks (Including the 2 she currently has)

Calvin and Example = 2 weeks

Rita= 1 week

Little Mix = 2 weeks

Tulisa = 2/3 weeks (Unless something else happens)

Little Mix could be a hit or a miss, personally its going to peak at #2, I should imagine Rita Ora will be front loaded.

I'm surprised that Rita Ora's album isn't that high. I mean I know it's only a pre-order but I did think it would be a lot higher than it actually is especially as she has 2 number ones with a third most likely on it's way. No ones really buying the new song that comes with it either - Conor Maynard has done better so far when he released Drowning in the same way. Maybe she doesn't actually have as big a fanbase as people think and has actually done well so far down to having good songs.

I did Love Rita's How We Do when I first heard it, months ago, but I played it so much, that now that it's near it's UK release, it's lost it's greatness imo, It will go number 1 but will only stay there for more then one week, if it has no serious competition, like how the charts are currently now, static and boring.

If you're actually trying to suggest that Loca People went to #1 because people thought it was a genuinely good song (and even worse, that success = quality), then it's nice to know I'll never have to pay attention to your posts again.
