September 28, 201212 yr Author Olly performed on 'Good Morning America' in Times Square today. The performance of 'Heart Skips a Beat' isn't up yet but I'm told it was amazing and impressed them all! http://ollymursdaily.tumblr.com/post/32465...ing-america-new Speaking of 'Heart Skips...' I have decided the 'new' US video for it is the worst one Olly's done to date. At least the football coach one was funny! TBH nothing will top Rizzle Kicks' original.

October 1, 201212 yr Can't wait to here the first single. Lots of tracks is good. Some title names I'm not keen on but I really liked his second album so I have doubt this won't be good. Looking forward too it.

October 8, 201212 yr Author Pre-order for the album's gone live on iTunes - there's a pre-order only bonus track that's available with it called 'Just for Tonight' until 26th November: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/right-pla...ime/id567396325
October 8, 201212 yr Author Digital Spy have reviewed a sampler of the album - this is what they had to say: We’re just going to come out and say it; Olly Murs’s last album In Case You Didn’t Know was a pretty brilliant pop record. What’s more, we enjoyed all three of its singles (‘Heart Skips A Beat’ was easily one of the best songs of 2011) and could have easily picked another five songs that deserved individual attention. As such, we had high hopes for the single leading album number three ‘Troublemaker’ - even if it does feature Flo Rida - and thankfully the track doesn’t disappoint. It had its first play on radio earlier today, and it’s another perky soul-pop number that - because you feel like you’ve heard it somewhere before - is difficult for anyone to outright dislike (although Flo’s contribution being kept to a minimum certainly helps). Another song we’ve heard from the record is ‘Army Of Two’. It clocks in at a rather lengthy 4 minutes and 48 seconds, but that’s largely down to an extended orchestral/marching band intro. The whole thing is extremely well crafted, but the best thing about it is the chorus, which contains the instantly catchy lyric: “Soldiers follow my lead/ Repeat after me.” It’s probably our favourite of the five tracks we’ve heard because it feels big, fresh and exciting without taking away what we already like about Olly’s music. We’ll quickly skim over by-the-numbers-but-by-no-means-bad ballad ‘One Of These Days’ and move straight on to ‘Dear Darlin’, a midtempo number in which he writes a letter to a recent ex. Again, it’s reassuringly familiar without feeling dated. There are Christmassy chimes to be heard throughout, so we wouldn’t be surprised if this is the next pre-Christmas single. The final song we’ve heard thus far is ‘Loud & Clear’ which, put simply, is a brilliant and epic enormo-ballad. “You can’t reverse the tears/ The truth is hitting you loud and clear” he says, before a choir of “oohs” chant on the chorus. In summary, it’s business as usual for Olly - but in the best possible way. In fact, if the remaining ten(!) tracks on Right Place Right Time are of similar quality, we could have an even more surprisingly excellent album that In Case You Didn’t Know on our hands.
October 9, 201212 yr Author Deluxe edition artwork is here: http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mbmwky9SSn1qlz8h2.jpg Love the red font on that, makes it stand out more than the black. The deluxe iTunes edition will also have live videos of 'Troublemaker' and 'Army of Two', and a video track by track commentary on the making of the album with Olly (plus the pre-order only track 'Just for Tonight' that's on the standard iTunes edition)!
October 28, 201212 yr Preordered 'Right Place, Right Time' today from Sainsburys for £8.99 for the deluxe edition. He's doing very well on preorders on there, #1 for artists for the original version(£6.99) and the deluxe is doing well too. I'll download 'Just for tonight' from youtube or something! I doubt the video commentary will be that in depth tbh but I'll try and watch that somehow as I am very interested in that side of things. Edited October 28, 201212 yr by BuzzLightyear
October 28, 201212 yr Author He's now got a super deluxe boxset of the album up for pre-order too - for £18.99 you get the deluxe edition of the album plus a foldout poster, personalised lyric book with Olly's thoughts on each of the songs and a box to keep it all in. I've naturally got it of course! Pre-order's at http://www.myplaydirect.com/olly-murs for anyone else who's that way inclined... A Twitter buddy of mine has just won the 5 track sampler on eBay and is gonna let me have a listen to the songs on it at some point this week. Very excited indeed! November 5, 201212 yr Author Amazon are selling a remix of the title track from Thomas Gandey (aka Cagedbaby who remixed 'Dance with Me Tonight' and 'Oh My Goodness' as well) for 79p. I never judge a song off a remix but the original should be promising from this! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Right-Place-Time/d...74&sr=301-1 In other news I've heard 'Army of Two' and 'Dear Darlin' off a friend who won the album sampler on eBay. 'Army of Two' is, quite simply, one of the best songs Olly has ever done. It's about five minutes long and it's like the meeting point of Take That's 'Shine' and 'The Garden' meets 'Change is Gonna Come' from the first album - and then some. It's gonna be the second single in the new year. And the chorus is bloody epic. I know I sound like I'm talking it up a lot but trust me it'll be justified when you all hear it. 'Dear Darlin' is really good as well. It's beat is a bit similar to 'Heaven' by Emeli Sande but musically it's quite chilled out and simplistic - like a more stripped back version of 'Baby Blue Eyes' which was the B-side of 'Dance with Me Tonight'. It would make a nice single! Edited November 5, 201212 yr by ThePensmith
November 7, 201212 yr Author Amazon now have preview clips of all the songs up on the MP3 pre-order page: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Right-Place-Time/d...84&sr=301-1 All sounds extremely promising. Am most excited on basis of these at hearing 'What a Buzz', 'One of These Days', 'Hey You Beautiful' and 'Head to Toe'!
November 12, 201212 yr Author Nothing surprises me, yet I still can't believe this: Columbia have pushed back the US release of the album AGAIN. Now April 9th 2013. I'm starting to wonder why Olly's signed with them over there anymore. They've actually achieved f*** all for him!
November 13, 201212 yr Author E696kNP7cRw Album sampler! So freakin' excited to get this album! This is a preview for 'Just for Tonight' as well which is the iTunes pre-order only exclusive: ivZdWhLoxhM
November 13, 201212 yr The album sounds brilliant (as ever with him). Cant remember which I liked the sound of the most etc... but I think one of them was the title track. 'Troublemaker' is slowly becoming my favourite single of his (currently it's 'Dance With Me Tonight')
November 15, 201212 yr 'One of These Days' is Popjustice's "Song of the Day"/"Big Song"/"whatever". Very surprising as we all know he's not the biggest Olly fan! http://www.popjustice.com/songs/olly-murs-one-of-these-days/ It's beautiful. Typical Olly Murs ballad though. I think I prefer 'I Need You Now'/'Don't Say Goodbye' but this is still great!
November 15, 201212 yr Thats the rumoured next single innit? About time Olly dropped another single. "Heart On My Sleeve" remains his best single.
November 15, 201212 yr Author 'Army of Two' is indeed the 2nd single. 'One of These Days' just happened to be chosen, as Jonjo said, as Popjustice's 'Song of the Day' today (somewhat grudgingly given their personal vendetta against Olly). He's doing a performance of one of the album tracks on Xtra Factor next Sunday, 25th November. Don't know which one yet! He's also doing a Livestream/launch party for the album next Wednesday.
