I don't think Emeli's really focusing at all on trying to storm the US charts. She just wants the US to hear what she has to offer, promote the album by doing interviews, performances on AI, etc - and also she participated in a Carole King tribute show in the White House, so I think all of those achievements and all of the places she has been thus far in the US are enough for her, so I think she just wants to honor the people that she looks up to in music too and grasp hold of new opportunities whilst she's over there.

Like I say, she just wants her message to be heard, and to share it with people. As an artist, she's hardly going to turn down any opportunity to try and share that message as much as she can, because that is what Our Version of Events is - a message. It's not an album written just so that she can try and get the next #1. But the UK promotion has ended for now (unless in the case of new songs leaking, which has happened, but they have been removed). Any new material has been solely for the US (her iTunes Session EP, her feature on Kendrick Lamar's song, etc). It's fair to say her UK campaign is over until at least late 2014, unless she makes any other television performances (which is inevitable, what with the Glasgow 2014 games upcoming).

Wow, haven't checked this in a while and to see Mirrors still at #1 is incredible! Huge! No wonder he's waited a while for the third single release!
