Ed Sheeran just tweeted: 'Duet coming soon...' with the following picture! Could it be the second single? Taylor is shooting a video today (and she has already shot the 'Getting Back Together' video), so maybe Ed's there too? It seems coincidence he's tweeted that at the same time a video shoot is happening!

His nose looks like it's about to drop off in that picture.
two of my favourite artists!! this should be a huge duet given both of their popularity, move over Carly and Owl City :P
MTV today announced that superstar, singer-songwriter and six-time Grammy® Award-winner Taylor Swift will perform a new song from her upcoming fourth studio album Red for the first time at the “2012 MTV Video Music Awards LIVE from the STAPLES Center on Thursday, September 6 on MTV at 8:00pm ET/PT. In the third VMA performance of her career, the “Best Female Video” award winner will take the stage to give viewers an early listen to what promises to be another meteoric chart-topper for the multi-faceted artist.

Exciting, I loved her performance of 'Innocent' two years ago and it ended up being one of my favourites from the album.

"I went through a few roller coasters," says Taylor Swift, reflecting on her relationships over the past two years. She channeled the turmoil into her fourth studio LP, Red, out October 22nd. "Trying to chronicle each step of the way was challenging, because you go to some really dark places with the lyrics. Then in the next track, you're talking about how amazing it is to meet somebody new."

After writing 2010's smash Speak Now by herself, Swift veered in the opposite direction, co-writing with pop hitmakers such as Max Martin and Adele collaborator Dan Wilson. She wound up with nearly 40 potential songs; in between stops on the yearlong world tour that she wrapped in March, Swift joined her writing partners in L.A. and Nashville. "I felt like an apprentice," Swift says. "They taught me so much about melodic sense, and they let me do what I love, which is the lyrics."

The result is Swift's most eclectic set ever, ranging from "State of Grace," a howling, U2-style epic with reverb-drenched guitars, to a sweet acoustic duet with U.K. singer Ed Sheeran. Another key track even features a dubstep-inspired bass breakdown. So far, the new direction isn't hurting Swift's career: Lead single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," a bitter breakup anthem with a hip-hop-flavored Max Martin beat, has shattered chart records, selling a stunning 623,000 digital singles in its first week. To Swift, the musical excursions aren't surprising, given how much hip-hop and R&B she listens to. "I have so many play*lists full of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown," she says. "I love Wiz Khalifa."

Lyrically, the album is full of Swift's usual themes of romance and heartbreak. "I know general things about love," she says. "How to treat people well, what you deserve and when to walk away. Other than that, love is a complete mystery – and that's why I like to write about it."

Swift has spent much of the summer with her new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy (the son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.), in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. She's even looked into buying a house near the Kennedy compound. "That would be so amazing," she says. But Swift won't be resting for long: She's already thinking about how to top her last tour, which featured aerialists, costume changes and a mock wedding onstage every night. "I really want to go out on the road in the spring," she says. "After I write a song, I always end up laying awake at night thinking, 'What are the lighting cues going to be on this? How big is the pit going to be?' I have been thinking of some big moments that are going to happen."

State Of Grace will totally be her Blown Away :P So excited for this, it sounds like she might be accused of 'selling out' even more than she already has been with WANEEGBT but I don't think she'll totally ditch her roots. Carrie managed to do pop with Good Girl (which was still slightly country), Blown Away and One Way Ticket on her latest album, Taylor seems to be doing more of an extreme shift but there'll still be plenty of country I'd imagine. This couldbe a HUGE era WW though!

I do wonder about her opening sales, thinking they'll be below 1m, because I've seen talk about her country fanbase being 'alienated' but then WANEGBT broke records and the album will surely outsell 'Speak Now' in the UK at least.

I am interested in where she goes though, with the 'dubstep' track but yeah, I don't imagine her to completely ditch the country stuff which has got her where she is today.

So far the confirmed song titles are apparently: State of Grace, I Knew You Were Trouble, Red and Everything's Changed which is the duet with Ed Sheeran! :D

Naturally it's already #2 on iTunes and she'll soon knock WANEGBT off the top spot!
I'm sat here crying watching that, honestly just stunning.

What a fantastic song, for a fantastic cause.

She is a true inspiration, for all the shit the younger generation get, she's just incredible.

Absolutely beautiful song, I was genuinely moved by it - I can't imagine anyone not being moved by the song. I had a tear in my eye watching that, just incredible.

I hope they put in on all iTunes stores worldwide (I think it's just in the US at the moment) as it would raise so much more money for charity, the Taylor fans in each country should get it in a lot of top 10s all over the world!

Also, here is the iTunes studio version for anyone who wants to hear it - I'm glad all of the emotion in Taylor's vocals can still be heard without the emotion of an accompanying video.

I wish they'd put the album up for pre-order already!

I just wish she'd sell in Adele-like quantities in the UK...
