23 :ne: (Downloads Only) Cassie - Me & U

'Me&U' is the debut single from New York teen R&B sensation Cassie. 19-year-old Cassie is a former model who has signed to Ryan Leslie’s Nextselection label, and is currently blowing up on Myspace. Her debut single, 'Me&U', was a smash in the US and now Cassie is hoping to conquer the UK. - HMV

I though she was signed to Diddy's Bad Boy label here in America. I guess I could be wrong about that story.

19 :ne: (Downloads Only) Chamillionaire ft. Krayzie Bone - Ridin'

'Ridin' is the debut single from America's newest hip hop sensation Chamillionaire. The track is unquestionably the biggest record in the US right now, featuring Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs fame, 'Ridin' is set to takeover the UK urban scene. - HMV

The tune by the way went to #1 earlier this year in America and Chamillionaire is from Houston by the way also the original title of the song was called "Ridin' Dirty" but was change to just "Ridin" in an effort to get more radio play for the tune.

17 :ne: (from 42) Mousse T vs. Dandy Warhols - Horny As A Dandy

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDFEV14.JPG

Originally the work of French mash-up producers, Loo & Placido, ‘Horny As A Dandy’ splices together Mousse T’s 1998 hit, ‘Horny’, the ubiquitous smash which reached No.2 in the UK charts, with Dandy Warhols’ ‘Bohemian Like You’, a No. 5 hit in 2001. The resulting mash-up is a match made in neon heaven, a pumped romp that will be pure dancefloor fodder for some, and a guilty pleasure for the rest. ‘Horny As A Dandy’ is one of the many ingenious mash-ups to appear on EMI’s forthcoming mash-up album ‘Mashed’. - HMV

Release date: 7-8-2006

This mashup by the way is now the second high charting tune for the Dandy Warhols behing the 2nd release of "Bohemian Like You" which was out in 2001.

Anyway, I hope the Mashed complilation comes out in the US real soon because I love mash-ups especially when comes to mash-ups of the Beatles.

15 :ne: (from 73) The View - Wasted Little DJs

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/OLIVECD007.JPG

A fiery slice of teenage rock 'n' roll, 'Wasted Little DJ's is the debut single from Dundonian 4 piece, produced by Owen Morris (producer of the Verve's seminal 'Northern Soul' and Oasis' debut 'Definitely Maybe'). Named after the Bayview Hotel, the bar in which they initially rehearsed (they were subsequently banned from the premises for riding a scooter along the bar) the band recently supported Primal Scream and played an incendiary set at Radio 1s recent Big Weekend in Dundee. - HMV

Track listing

1. Wasted Little DJ's

2. Posh Boys

3. Comin' Down [Live @ The Doghouse 31/10/05]

At least it's not the group that once featured Star Jones in its lineup until Barbara Walters fired her when she announced prematurely that she was leaving the show to focus on other things like going to pro basketball games, acting more and more like a diva, etc;

12 :ne: (from 58) Michael Gray ft. Shelly Poole - Borderline

Michael Gray has fashioned yet another anthem in the making with his new single 'Borderline'. Featuring a sublime vocal performance from Shelly Poole (of Alisha's Attic fame), it is a unique, intelligent-sounding dance record. Soaring strings and sweeping vocals make it a definite feel good record. - HMV

Track listing

1. Borderline [Radio Edit]

2. Borderline [Original Mix]

3. Borderline [Vocal Club Mix]

4. Borderline [Dennis Christopher's Vocal Mix]

5. Borderline [spencer & Hill Mix]

6. Borderline [Video]

Not as rememberable as his 2004 dance classic "The Weekend" but a welcome return for him. As for Shelly unless this tune climbs next week, will this become the 4th #12 hit in her music career counting the songs she did for Alisha's Attic?

Yes it will. Poor Shelly

Well Shelly will get a lot more exposure on her own soon and I'm looking forward to seeing her in September. :D

This is the 5th week in a row that the top 40 started with a new or re-entry at #40. I can't remember the last time that ever happened if it did it was before 1995.

Anyone I'm not sure if the new Primal Scream song is download entry or a physical this week but if it is, it is sure a dissapointment to see them come in this low after reaching the top 5 for the first time with their last hit.

Really strange to kick start Top40 with a new entry for so many weeks ni a row.

Primal scream was full Physical release this week, so poor position for them and likely the last single we shall see chart from the current Album.

It sounds like this act is Scandanivan unless I'm wrong.

Yes, Peter Bjorn & John feat. Victoria Bergsman from Sweden I think.

It's safe to predict that's Orson's 15 minutes of fame are almost up.

Yea -_-

Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth made #13 in 1998.

Sorry, My mind was on vacation this weekend and I forgot about the Dandy's 98 hit.
