Or Madonna...or was she unsuccessful everywhere?

I occasionally hear from time to time of a Madonna song going top 10 somewhere, but other than that, I don't think she's done well in the charts anywhere, at least with singles.

It's weird that she went from a massive worldwide smash (4 Minutes) and only a few years later she's where she is now. I think the fact that she moved record labels hurt her. And I think she would've been better if she did an alternative-styled album rather than a dance one, since that's where the charts seem to be heading.

I'm suprised that One More Night by Maroon 5 hasn't been started being played by radio yet (or at least its not doing it heavily). Of course it will be heavilly played eventually but as its really taking off in America now, suprised there little impact here

Yeah, it's strange. Especially since Payphone is bigger in the US atm than it is here, so you'd think logically we'd get the song first.

I think it'll be a big hit. It already charted top 100 a while ago when the album was released, and it's #343 on iTunes atm. It's top 5 in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the US, so I think we'll follow, eventually. I think there's also good chances of them getting an X Factor performance (if they're able to of course ).

Oh yeah, but as we know how petty Simon Cowell is :P, would he allow Maroon 5 on after they performed on the Voice final and Adam Levine is a Voice US judge

Some Nights  #32 :cheer: Top 40 this week hopefully!

Let's hope so. That and 'Little Talks' should both make good progress up iTunes next week once the Olympics effect has worn off. The iTunes chart has been extremely chaotic this week that it makes me wonder where Emeli Sande, Kate Bush, Elbow, Ed Sheeran, etc... will be on iTunes this time next week.

I reckon Cheryl will benefit and be looking set to go top 10 this weekend, or early next week at least. Then there's new releases from that Bom Bom song and the alledged Taylor Swift new single release (which remains to be seen) so I can imagine iTunes chart next week being just as chaotic.

Good lord, I'm praying that Taylor Swift song flops. It's embarrassing, and the song title is just...well, I can't even begin-

I have to smile at a Lady Gaga fan calling another artist 'embarrassing' - I don't recall Taylor ever wearing a suit made of meat, for example... :P

Taylor just broke a load of Lady Gaga's records too.

I see the new paloma song is at 51, could have went top 40 with radio 1 plays!!

I've seen a few 'Little Monsters' who aren't too happy about that

So surprised to see Trey Songz in the top 10. I guess it only being 59p has helped, but has it even had much airplay ? I don't recall hearing it anywhere near as much as Heart Attack
Oh my... X factor returns tomorrow night, my Saturday nights are now complete :drama:

A little underhand commenting on Gaga when the poster was referring to one specific song and not Taylor as a whole. I've seen loads of people being warned on here for bringing in someone's favourite artist to reply to a comment.

 to 43

So frustrating that it's going to miss the top 40 - it would've been her first single to chart top 40 after the album release as well. I hope it will climb next week but I'm not sure. She's not having much luck with these events is she? The Jubilee and such kept the album from going to #1 originally and now the Olympics have stopped the single from making top 40 and the album from finally being at #1  :(

I'm sure the moderators know I didn't do it maliciously - I did use a smiley, after all.

Besides, I've said things in this forum that've annoyed people a lot more... ;)

271. Gangnam Style (강남 스타일) - 싸이 (PSY)

!

 Did this get played on TV somewhere?

Tbh I'm not sure how I feel about it, in a way I'm glad that k-pop is finally making a breakthrough, but I would much rather it was with 2NE1 or Girls' Generation than a novelty rap track.

True. ^_^ Just thought it was a bit unnecessary to bring Gaga into the arguement, that's all.

Niggas In Paris  #36 - going nowhere!

30 Minute Love Affair  #42

'No Church In The Wild' really deserves this instead of that shite, so annoying. :arrr:

Glad to see Paloma on the brink of top 40. I actually didn't think '30 Minute Love Affair' would even make the top 100!
