Delighted for Emeli Sande, I love Read All About It Part III. Another Top 10 hit from this era then, she will most likely climb to number 1 on the album chart also.

07. Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill

11. John Lennon - Imagine (This should knock Angel Out The Top 10 soon)

15. Muse - Survival (Keep Climbing please and knock out Redlight  )

16. Big Hits - Bom Bom

22. Oasis - Wonderwall

25. One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful

33. Emeli Sande - Next To Me

34. Taio Cruz - Dynamite

35. Aiden Grimshaw - Curtain Call (He would be #26 on iTunes had it not been for the Olympics)

40. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

43. Ed Sheeran - Wish You Were Here

61. Take That - Rule The World & #72

70. Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life

93. Jessie J - Price Tag

95. Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars

I really like the Spice Girls but do we really need US iTunes updates?

I agree, there is a US iTunes thread in the International Charts forum so I guess they could go in there?

There are interesting though, so do keep updating us! Just move them into the US iTunes thread I think!

I just feel really bad for all the songs that got released this week. Poor Aiden especially.

For those wondering about Emeli Sande's next release...

Naughty Boy - 'Wonder (feat. Emeli Sande)'

Released: 30 September

Lead single from Naughty Boy's debut album, 'Hotel Cabana'

Also due to appear on the deluxe edition of 'Our Version of Events' - released in October 2012 (alongside 'Abide With Me' and 'Beneath Your Beautiful (with Labrinth)'

They better put her cover of 'Imagine' on there too! They can't just put it on a montage which will have been watched by over 10 million people and forget all about it!

That is simultaneously the most boring and most compelling music video I've ever seen.

What do people think of the songs used in the Olympics Closing Ceremony doing well on iTunes. Do you think it's good to see older songs back in or not?

Thank god, I thought this was over  I'm pleased to see some old classics emerging, and George Michael getting another hit. Not so pleased to see Emeli Sande (I guess Adele wasn't available) or One Direction though. The Pet Shop Boys should climb more, but that wasn't even in the main performance :(

When it's stone cold classics like this, YES  Also love Read All ABout It (Pt. III) and One Day Like This, two fantastic songs that really deserve to re-peak like they are certain to this week! Looking like we'll have a great top 10 on Sunday

Wonder how much it will affect sales in the album chart - hopefully it can puish emeli to no AGAIN with maybe decentish sales of around 30k?
Hope of monsters and men rise up to the top 30 as things steady out at the weekend again, its greg james record of the week so itll get prime time airplay all week!!
Read All About It, Pt III  #3

One Day Like This  #4

Noooo!

Could Read All About It, Part III be doing a mini-Someone Like You?

I think by the end of the week we get a better picture of the singles chart, at the moment there is a lot of old tracks filtering the top 40, some of these are going to wear off as the week progresses. I don't mind seeing the odd couple of old tracks like Elbow, John Lennon, PSB, and Kate Bush as I said some I can take, but some of them really take the biscuit cough One Direction, I'm not having a pop, but I simply had enough of the track.

The only thing the week after, other tracks that have fallen for example Of Monsters & Men will probably end up top 40 again, once the Closing Olympic Ceremony wears off.

Emeli stands a good chance of grabbing the #1 album this week though.
