If I'm right (I can only vaguely remember) then that's higher than SOTOTW was at this point? Oddly.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Looks like Delta's $ma$hing by her standards. :P

I think Rita Ora's song does its job fairly well, so I'm OK with it being number 1. I know it's very generic, but did people really expect it not to be? pretty girl singing generic pop song with hype on her side is what sells well on the market these days, it may not be remarkable, but it doesn't really need to be as long as it sells, she is very much in the right place atm.

As an aside, I've been paying a lot less attention lately and it shows, this is the first time I've seen that Porter Robinson name pop up!

Wow Rita got there quickly! I guess that was to be expected, they've held this release back for soooooooo long. :o She has promo lined up, radio and tv support, and also guest judge on X Factor starting Saturday!

Looks like this might be heading for the top 5 :cheer:

 20. Simply Amazing - Trey Songz

 35. Curtain Call - Aiden Grimshaw

 47. Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) [Remix] - Kate Bush

Trey Songz could potentially go top 10 at this rate and Aiden should definitely be on to outpeak 'Is This Love'.

I hope Karmin can climb before Porter or Trey knock them out! :(
Another 'Olympic montage' song that we could see in the charts soon - Frank Turner's 'Rivers' (different to the similarly titled Olympic-boosted Emeli Sandé song :P)
Just seen there is a clean version of 'How We Do' at #124 which is from the 'single' and not the 'EP'. It's also 79p as well, so I don't know if the release of the 'single' is a mistake as it says the release date is 20th March!

iTunes has sometimes weird release dates. 20th March could be the US release?

Yeah 20th March was the worldwide release, weird but iTunes often has errors like that as you say!
this is seriously the first i've heard of that porter song... why is it set to be a big hit does anyone knooow?

Because it's an amazing song.

Capital and Radio 1 have supported it a bit, hardly in a Rita Ora 'play it every 5 minutes' way though so I don't know. It could just be like Rudimental (on a lower scale obviously) and just do surprisingly quite wel out of seemingly nowhere.

So I *wasn't* alone in being unaware of it. :)

Ah right! It's weird that the EP has the right date but this 'single' has the US date and has been released out of nowhere and at 79p! It's good the clean version has been released too though!

You are so helpful.

Rita got #1 way faster than I would have expected before release, I think she'll end up selling a similar amount to Call My Name right now. :( I can only hope she's frontloaded.

Kate Bush for top 40, please! :D

Although it doesn't sound different from the original AT ALL bar a new vocal, apparently.

Could do a Rudimental on a lower scale and do 'surprisingly' well because you all didn't believe me it'd be big you mean~

(But seriously, I'm surprised you haven't heard it Leww :o You must listen).
