Mr Brightside is EASILY their best, good to see it easily the highest! Hung Up is glorious pop perfection and fully deserves top 10, same goes for Toxic. I don't think Dancing On My Own is as good as Be Mine and With Every Heartbeat but it's still a pretty majestic song that really deserves to be high.

Toxic :wub: Impossible to judge but definitely one of my favourite Britney songs. Much prefer the Blackout singles though!

I'm not sure what the third song is but at least two of the top three are 10/10 moments. GOOD STUFF. *.*

Climbing one place into the top 3 is Amy Winehouse with 'Back To Black'. Taken from what was the biggest selling album of the decade, this received an unfortunate boost in sales last year after her tragic death. It was around the same time that this competition was running, but it was hard to put its massive climb down to that as the rest of her songs showed no noticable improvement, and they've all remained static this year, much like this. It was always going to be a tough ask for anything to break the top 2 of 'Bad Romance' and 'With Every Heartbeat' given their dominance last year but this has done pretty phenomenally, finishing within a top score from being 2nd.

 

Incredibly, this is one of two songs in the top three which no one placed 1st in their voting.

I was just about to say how pleased I was with the top 3! I think it's a great result. Pleased to see "Toxic" in the top 5 too, though I'm in the minority when it comes to "Mr. Brightside" - very average song.

Brilliant to see Toxic up in top 5 this year, still one of the best pop songs ever recorded!

People had wondered if this would ever be beaten in this competition, but after two years of easy victories it has been. And well beaten it's been too. When she first emerged she was like a machine producing monster hit after monster hit. 'Bad Romance' came out as the lead single to the second project 'Monster' and confirmed her as one of the world's biggest stars and that's always shown on here. But her popularity seems to have waned over the last 12 months, her new material performed poorly here and only 'Telephone' improved on last year (up just 3 overall). Maybe she won't be such a dominant force in this game as people thought.

Winning by an incredible margin of 81 points Robyn flips around last years top 2 with the incredibly classy 'With Every Heartbeat'. It didn't start that well here, making the final initially but plummeting almost 100 places in its second year. But then it had a turnaround, probably not a coincidence that it came after the demise of ChCmedia and many of its members moving over here (let's face it, if this competition was ran there and the site still existed its chart run so far would almost certainly be 01-01-01-01-01). Thermometer was right, the increase for 'Dancing On My Own' (20-07) coupled with the increases for 'The Girl & The Robot' (150-49) and 'Be Mine!' (126-67) were a pretty good indicator that this would have had a surge too and it would win. In the end it thrashed 'Bad Romance' by a huge margin. No one voted this as the best song. Only two people ranked it 2nd. It did however get 8 third placed finishes and was voted for by 35 of the 48 voters, 3 more than 'Back To Black' and 6 more than 'Bad Romance'.
