10 copies were sold? Wow Tulisa must have 10 friends! Only joking, but this will not make any great waves in the charts. Well actually I wonder what numbers her record company are expecting her to do? People with Tulisa's profile and 'urban roots' seem to escape the cull after a flop and Cheryl's didn't seem to do much so she'll probably get a 2nd chance.

I'm really not expecting the album to light up the charts either (or Sight of You for that matter). I just hope it doesn't discourage her to release more singles in the new year (Live Your Life, Kill Me Tonight etc).

Well all she had to do was produce two hit songs to precede the album and it would have sold alright but she doesn't have that 2nd hit to launch it. She's had plenty of time as I imagine she was looking at going solo and following Cheryl's path as soon as she took the X Factor job so Tulisa and her team have really dropped the ball here.

 

Her X Factor place is surely under threat with the low ratings which would be a disaster for her career. She had a good first year with Little Mix which gained her fans with their close bond but now all her acts are out early and she has one controversy after another, she needs good news in the charts. There are already rumours of a return for Cheryl, can't see both of them on the panel.

Wish she wouldn't release sight of you as a single, it's no way worthy of being a single and will hardly encourage people to buy the album from the x factor performance.

Just seen an advert for the album on ITV2. Showed clips from all the singles, and played abit of Live Your Life. I REALLY hope this isn't a #24 smash album, and that it manages top 10!

You know... I may be in my delusional 'I laaaave Tulisa' mode, but the album really isn't that bad.

Top 10 is definite, I think. If Dappy can go in at #6 with his album, I don't see why Tulisa can't, not to mention Tulisa probably has more fans and she has the X Factor performance.

I really hope this flops big time. I can't stand Tulisia as a person and she is also a very weak singer.

I mean, to be fair, I may be delusional, but "Sight Of You" is a whole lot better than "Live It Up", and that managed to scrape #11 with NO promo. So "Sight Of You" with promo + this time of year, I can see being around #15.

That review was pretty harsh, wouldn't surprise me if it was slating just for slating's sake seeing as it's Tulisa. I'm not even a fan but the album is pretty good for what it is, nothing revolutionary and hardly a pop masterpiece of The Fame Monster proportions or anything but it isn't trying to be.

Yeah it really annoys me how everyone's jumping on the bandwagon and hating on her. She isn't THAT bad and the album is better than the likes of Ora at least.

Exactly, ORA is a great example! It's no worse than that except for the fact everybody seems to rim Rita Ora so she gets away with it.

I don't get why nearly everyone seems to think Tulisa is a bad singer? I thought she was brilliant when she did the performance with Little Mix in last year's X Factor final and I'm sure she'll do really well again tonight!

I just think it's 'cool' to hate Tulisa right now, and 'cool' to love Rita which is a shame. Oh well, at least we got a brilliant solo album from her, and i'm ready for the N-Dubz return :wub:

No way is it better than 'Ora'! :( I really don't get why people hate on that album so much (just like people seemed to hate on Jessie's album). Sure it's not anything ground breaking and may be a bit all over the place in terms of sound and consistency, but their debuts were just seeing where their audiences were going to be aimed at. Just trying to find their sound sort of thing. Tulisa knows which direction she wants to go in, but the production on most of her songs sound cheap and have a tinny sort of effect to me. Also, I find Tulisa's vocals on this album are a bit scratchy and it really affects some of the songs. Although SOY had grown on me, her voice still puts me off. She tries far too hard imo.
