November 24, 201212 yr Can't wait to listen to the album! If it's half as good as Bad Intentions it will be a winner imo
November 26, 201212 yr Wow!!! Freaking out at how good the album is :cheer: I'm so proud of her lol. On first listen Live Your Life and Kill Me Tonight are just incredible, but most tracks are solid. Could have cut out tracks like Counterfeit but that'sjust being picky. The production is really strong! The intro is a little cringe, but when it ends and you anticipate Young kicking in you can't help but cheer  This is definitely the album I wanted from T
November 27, 201212 yr This is actually a really good album quite impressed and shocked lol loving British Swag :D
November 27, 201212 yr Gave the album a little listen, it's much better than I expcted! Dunno what she was thinking releasing Sight Of You and Live It Up when she has tracks like British Swag (despite the title), Steal My Breath Away, Skeleton and Live Your Life, I get that she wanted to show 3 different sides which she did with the singles but still she made awful choices aside from Young.
November 27, 201212 yr Been looning over the album these past two days. Trying to take my loon glasses off though: Young 10.0 Live It Up 9.5 Damn 8.0 British Swag 8.5 Live Your Life 9.5 Visa 7.5 Foreigner 6.5 Skeletons 7.5 I'm Ready 6.5 Steal My Breath Away 8.5 Kill Me Tonight 11.0 Counterfeit 7.5 Habit 7.5 Sight Of You 8.5
November 27, 201212 yr I really think "Habit" should have been single #3. I mean I ain't shading 'cuz I love "Sight Of You", I just think "Habit"s better.
November 28, 201212 yr The first few lyrics of Foreigner sound quite xenophobic without the context. Foreigner, what you come around here for? Foreigner, don’t come knocking on my door You don’t come around here blocking all the sun Don’t bring your winter here, we don’t need one  and I'm impressed at how OKAY this album is so far. British Swag is indeed good and I LUUUUUUUURVE Outro.
November 28, 201212 yr What an awful title. How anyone could say that Young is anything other than yet another formulaic Calvin Harris retread is beyond me. People are so easily pleased when it comes to pop music. Edited November 28, 201212 yr by AnthonyT
November 28, 201212 yr What an awful title. How anyone could say that Young is anything other than yet another formulaic Calvin Harris retread is beyond me. People are so easily pleased when it comes to pop music. I also think people can be so easily snobbish about pop music. If people can hail We Found Love as a masterpiece I don't think there's a problem with Young being up there as an incredible pop song too. Anyway a lot of the album moves away from Pop into her 'urban roots' :kink: but I can't help but think that a lot of people will dismiss it before even listening unfortunately.

People are so easily pleased when it comes to pop music. Nothing wrong with being easily pleased, clearly if you find people who like Young as being easily pleased it must be a VERY good thing.
November 29, 201212 yr I actually do think there's a drawback when people are easily pleased. Producers get complacent and release any old rubbish that they know will make money. It's not confined to pop music either.

It's not confined to pop music either. Agreed. People who primarily listen to 'indie' music don't automatically love something because it's not pop. There is quality control too you know
November 29, 201212 yr Okay.. I saw this is Morrisons today. I swear I wasn't going mad, I even looked at the album artwork.

It's not confined to pop music either. I agree to an extent (and definitely feel that Nicki Minaj has fallen foul of this in her last album), but if people are pleased by the 'any old rubbish' surely it just proves that calling music rubbish is highly subjective, and that not everyone considers it rubbish because they're enjoying it. I do get what you're saying (i'm just playing devil's advocate), but i don't agree that people are 'too easily' pleased, and i'd give them more credit than that.
November 29, 201212 yr Okay.. I saw this is Morrisons today. I swear I wasn't going mad, I even looked at the album artwork. Apparently it was in HMV stores too  Hope it doesn't impact her too much next week!
November 29, 201212 yr It wasn't listed on the official charts... I just wondered if some of the shippings to Ireland got lost in the UK?
November 30, 201212 yr Apparently it was in HMV stores too  Hope it doesn't impact her too much next week! It sold a grand total of 9 copies in HMV before a memo/e-mail was sent out so i doubt it will impact sales too much next week unless of course only 10 people were planning to buy it in the first place
