oooooooooooh I had forgotten all about that song until now

Bah..............um

I think the word is Greed.

Must be the company he's keeping!

Mother Jupiter watched the X Factor for the first time ever tonight. Half way through she turned to me and innocently asked

'Has this guy got cross eyes?'

I didn't have to ask who she was talking about.

I still quite like Gary as a judge though. :P

There's nothing wrong with Gary as a judge on a 100% music show. He must realise however - that XF is NOT a music show. ITV couldn't justify a 1 and a half hour show of music alone (especially when the singing isn't that grea). Surely he realises it is the combination of singing and novelty that is the show's attraction.

Personally I think he's an arsehole on the show.

Maybe Gary Barlow would be better suited to The Voice program that was on the BBC. X Factor is a joke, every week

I say I'm not going to watch, every week I do because there's sod all else on the tv of a Saturday night.

I think he does alright in X Factor, I must be mellowing in me old age because I quite like him in it and

pretty much agree with alot of what he says, with the exception of last years Frankie whatever his name was!

Does anyone know exactly when Robbie will be on the show?

Oh he is a pompous, arrogant twit who truly believes he's going to discover a world class recording artist. He doesn't realise he's in a pantomime purely for Saturday night entertainment purposes.

But watching his face of disgust is quite funny

It's a lot more on the radio now in The Netherlands, already heard it as background music in a television programm aswell.

I have to say the song is growing on me, when I don't pay too much attention to the lyrics it actually makes me cheerfull.

I've not heard it on the radio here much tbh

Then again........... I don't listen to the radio very often  just the odd 10 mins here and there of a morning before work.

I'm not ashamed to say that I actually really like it. I did from the first time I heard it (and I so desperately wanted to hate it).

Surprisingly enough (or not) Candy is doing great at both radio play and pre-orders everywhere in the UK. It looks like it could get to no1 even without the XF, I imagine he'll have the no1 wrapped up after the XF anyway. Personally I find this song 'just fun'... I hope the album features much better tracks, we do not need an album full of Candy! On the other hand (in terms of promo) it is a song obviously targeted at non-fans and it does well at this group so far... They should choose the next single to be a more satisfying one for fans of the 'Golden Days'-Robbie' though. I wouldn't blame R1 for snubbing this song, it is an 'immature' song from a fully mature (compared always to how far robbie could go in terms of maturitiy) and successful artist.

Physical edition is a 2-track, not maxi. (that's because it's german and germans only have 2tracks anymore) 2nd track is 'Candy (Max Sanna and Steve Pitron Remix)'

The thing I love the most about Gary is he knows the industry, he knows it's not all about the Adele's and Corinne Bailey Raes, I mean, look at "Candy", that's far from lyrical genius, neither is anything he's written since "Greatest Day" really.
I suspect Gary had very little to do with the lyrics on Candy. ;)
