If she is doing an X Factor, a medley (of some sort) would probably be better. She would've had to drop the song like 2 weeks ago. I mean there's a lot of UK love for Nicole at the moment, but I don't think there's THAT much love.

That said though.. if the song's good enough, her popularity + X Factor performance would be a good mix for a surprise hit!

Yup.

 

And if she, as I said, goes OA/OS with this...It will flop. A performance at the X-Factor won't guarantee her necessary a hit (see Try With Me) and if it starts falling on iTunes, well the radios won't play it. That's why building the airplay before the release is good. Once you release your track, you're (for example) the 8th most played track in the UK (ie a #8 on the airplay charts).

Plus even if she does release the track like two weeks earlier, it won't be enough.

 

Ugh. I just want her to handle a release like everybody else. I would love if she could get another hit in the UK...

She did a few Try With Me performances, she did X Factor, This Morning and Royal Variety for it. I hope she manages to get a second UK #1 at some point.

And when she was promoting 'Try With Me', she hadn't been featured on one of the most watched TV shows every weekend for the past 4 months.

Say what you like about a 'ratings decline' but there are 8 million+ people watching it every week, she's become a household name.

Not that that is all that matters, but she's more popular now than ever.

Nicole Scherzinger has came across fantastic on the shows, she's had nothing but great words written about her, there seems to be quite a lot of hype for her these days and a reason Try With Me flopped bad is because the poor airplay support, I'm sure if she had good airplay with this new single (if released on air/On Sale) and a xFactor performance she could get her second biggest hit to date. I think she's over with the public and really public, she would be stupid not to perform.

 

Saying that, it wouldn't surprise me if she performed it on the final, but didn't release it until January time. Any exposure is good though!

The final is the Saturday after this Saturday, so best she could do if she must release it in tome for the final is literally release right now today or tomorrow but still that would only be around a week and a half of airplay so I'm still apprehensive over how it will do.

But tbf, had Tulisa released her stuff this time last year instead, she would have fared much better! She was much more popular last year than she is this year. She's not come across as likeable this year, at all. I've heard and seen comments regarding that she's "boring" and "dull". Nicole has definitely stolen her crown, deservedly so too - she is definitely the more favourable judge this year.

I'm looking forward to this. TWM definitely didn't deserve to flop

'Try With Me' was amazing, I really started to love it a few weeks after it's release. I suppose when you rely solely on just an X-Factor performace for a single it's doomed (similar scenario with the last ever Diana Vickers single).

There was a little clip in James Arthur's VT on X-Factor just now (him and Jahmene watched her shoot the video), sounds pretty good! Less dancey and more poppy than DHYB etc.!

"Try With Me" is like... her best song.

'Right There' says hello! (In fact her whole album (+ a couple of leaks from a couple of years ago) does - bar that Sting shit :puke:) 'Try With Me' got old so, so quickly. It was still good/decent, but the appeal didn't last long enough for me.

 

I'm really surprised I like 'Right There' as much as I do! I actually hated it on the first few listens of the album and I hated it when she announced it was the next single, but as soon as we got the video for it it CLICKED. It's fantastic!
