Just been on a bit of a rant about how Victoria is actually nowhere to be heard much in any Matt & Biff productions on Spice album... YET she was there for the recordings of the demos of 2 Become 1 and If You Cant Dance as you can hear her on those very clearly. Like, she is not on 2 Become 1 at all on the album, even in the chorus lines that we all thought she shared with Mel C, that is actually Mel B!!!

We know she wasnt there for the writing and demo-ing of Wannabe but Wannabe one of their first songs they wrote, right after Feed Your Love. And if 2 Become 1 was written and demoed the next day - as said by them - well, she is allover the original demo and she would have been there for the other recordings! So why was she removed completely afterwards?... it seems quite a deliberate omission...

We don't have demos for Mama to compare, but out of the four songs on the album by Matt + Biff, Victoria barely appears at all. In If You Cant Dance she also is barely heard, only getting some backing melodies in the chorus.

So when it came to the mastering process and re-recording vocals for the final versions of the songs, it seems like Victoria was simply removed from the songs...

Why the hell though? Luckily Absolute gave her plenty of verses and melodies to work with and Matt & Biff seemingly changed their approach for Spiceworld but damn....

I always wonder the same like did Matt & Biff just hated her vocals?It’s just so weird. She shone in the Elliot and Absolute tracks. Thanks to Stent for the single mixes that he brought her vocals on 2 become 1 and Mama.

Well, Biff produced her second solo record. I do not think he hated her voice.

Well, he did fix the Victoria problem with Spiceworld so we knew there weren't any issue by then
